Posts: 447 Northeastern Penna. | Having bought the windshield and loving it, I see they sent a paper with the care instructions.
CeeBaileys recommends using Meguiars Mirror Glaze-17 Plastic Cleaner and Meguiars Mirror Glaze-10 Plastic Polish. I found these products online that comes in a Kit which includes 2 applicators and a wiping cloth. Has any other riders with this windshield gone out and purchased
this Meguiars product or are there other good alternatives to the cleaning/polishing of plastic windshields? |

and an aerosol spray cleaner/polish that my dealership sells. Both work great. As a pilot as well, (CeeBailey makes aircraft winshields), the best thing you can do to protect and keep your shield looking brand new is to keep a coat of wax/polish on the surface.
When my Vision comes back to roost in the garage, the shield, headlights, etc all get cleaned off before I go inside. Dont let road and bug debris dry on your plastics, the chemical reaction if left long enough will deteriorate the brilliant finish of your shield etc. |

Posts: 135 Yellowknife, NT Canada | I was in my local glass shop last week and asked him about cleaners. He said he bought several cases of a product, hadn't sold any, so he gave me a bottle to try and asked me to get back to him on it. It is Novus Plastic Clean & Shine #1..
Anyone try this stuff? |

Posts: 169 Iowa | When I get back from a ride, I place a clean wet towel over the windshield and headlight while I put my gear away. The damp towel sits for about 4-5 minutes on the shield. Then I wipe it clean and go inside. Monthly I use a polish to keep it protected. |

After it gets dryed, I give it a coat of Plexus with a clean 100% cotton wipe (no paper towls, they scrach). Cleans easy next time! |

Posts: 271 Belding Michigan | I used to use Lemon Pledge also however I found that Bees just love the smell of lemons and I am allergic to Bees so that ended that quite quickly. I also heard later that pledge will breakdown the clear coat on Plastic this is not confirmed as that was the least of my problems. When stopping at light bees would come in swarms. Wished that it worked that way with girls. SIGH Archie |

| I use Novus #2 on my shields over the years. Works great. Automatic dishwasher liquid works nice too just doesn't leave any coating on it. |
