Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | If you want an opinion just throw it out on a forum. I was just over at the the Kuryakyn and they don't have jack for Victory products, in fact Victory's are barely acknowledge. Those people are for Harley, Metric or Goldwing, not for Victory's. I thought of spending a few dollars over there, but I've changed my mind as they don't have products for what I ride, even I could make due some how. J. C. Whitney is almost the same way as they think the last time Victory made a motorcycle was 2007 and it's not Victory exclusive, it's Polaris and then Victory as a product line. Okay, now that I babbled, who makes Victory aftermarket items as a whole? Anyone... |

The last time I spoke with my regional Vic rep he said that Victory only has about 2% of the cruiser market. With that small a piece of the pie I can understand why there aren't very many aftermarket companies rushing to make a bunch of stuff for us. I think it sucks, but I can understand the economics of it. |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | Thanks, I got the response I was looking for. I'm sure there are other places, I just didn't know what the tried and trues where. I understand the 2% thing, but that is bull in world of marketing. It doesn't take much to change some of that crap people make and make it specifically for Victory providing they have the tools and dies that are changeable. They're actually missing out on some cash here if they would make it and advertise. Just my opinion and I'm no marketing genius, but I think there is enough Vic's on the road today to justify a lean in that direction. |

| I have requested parts from Kury many times at shows, but their marketing department is watching the numbers. There are a lot more HDs sold each year compared to Victorys. Here are a few places for the Vision that might help get you started:
- Gerbing for heated clothing and controllers. www.gerbing.com
- Utopia for back rests: www.utpr.com
- J&M for speakers/headphones: www.jmcorp.com
- Bushtech and Hitch Doc for hitches: www.bushtech.com, www.hitchdoc.com
- Lloydz for performance parts: www.quickvic-usa.com
- Flash2Pass - hidden garage door openers for cars and motorcycles: www.f2ptechnologies.com

Went here...it doesn't have anything for Visions. Good Jackpot and Vegas stuff.
I also have bought stuff from Cruisercustomizing.com, which does have the Vision listed.

Posts: 3006 San Antonio, TX | I have heard of a place that will send you chrome forks for $300 or so dollars if you send them back you painted ones back. Does anyone know where this is. Same goes for the rear tipovers. There is another place that will chrome you stock tins.
After this thread runs a little it would be a nice to make a Reference Article for aftermarket parts and support.
I do not see the alternative exhaust makers here either.

| I agree with the brain.
Lloyd is the way to go. I was hooked on him before meeting him in Daytona.
I get better gas mileage and an extra 22 HP just from his cams.
Did the full Lloyd upgrade with VFCIII, intake and cams.
Bike just screams, blew by my buddy on his Road King the other day.
He won't go past 100, when I was slowing down I looked at my speedo as it passing back through 110. |

| The best Chrome I have seen for the Vision is coming out of CycleDragon's Salt Water Marine Chromer. The company does triple marine chroming and it looks like a mirror with absolutely NO pitting. Their rear-tipovers look better than what comes on the Anniversary Edition. I had my rear tipovers done by one dealer and they came back pitted. I have since hand them redone by CycleDragon's chromer and they came back like a mirror. I also had them do my center console, stock rims, forks, rear pulley and pulley guard. The will chrome your original tins as well and do a much more consistent job than ordering them through Victory. I have ordered a few sets from Victory only to receive flawed chromed tins for a couple of Visions. So far, I haven't seen any flaws come out of CycleDragon in Cerritos, CA. HTH, Tim

- Ness - Big Honkers for the Vision
- ThunderHeaders - ThunderSticks for the Vision
- RPWUSA - WIP 2-into-1 pipes with left falsey.
- Victory - 2 sets of pipes

| As I have stated many times over the years it's not all Victorys fault. Think back about 10 years. Indian and E-H were big news with new bikes and it all sounded really impressive in the news. So 3rd market companies do the research, prototypes and make a bunch of accessories for them. Are those parts in storage or have they been melted down for HD parts?
Victory did not get "noise" that those 2 got. I remember the girl at the Kuryakyn truck letting me try several sets of grips to find which ones would work on my '99. We were swapping them out in the parking lot at Myrtle Beach that year.
You have to go where the money is. How many times have you seen owners here gripe about the cost of accessories? If they won't buy there is no sense in making parts. Sorry Wal-Mart's Chinese vendors don't make Victory parts either.
The person that asked about chrome forks should check with Tri-City Polaris in Slat Lake City. GREAT dealer and they were the first to swap chromed wheels for Victorys. |

Great list! You should put them all together post in an After market Suppliers List in the Tech Reference section.
I like the way you write the bullet lists via html.

This follows exactly what I got from Kury Akyn when I contacted them about the prototype passenger armrests for the Vision. It also is visible in the fact that the pegs that come with the Victory accessory highway mounts are Kury Akyn's. If Victory really wants sales of the Vision to take off then they need to get more accessory items in their own catalog and encourage the aftermarket to come up with more accessories. It is the factory accessory catalog that gives H-D the advantage over everyone else in the market when it comes to sales after the initial motorcycle purchase, the dang H-D factory accessory book is almost 1 1/2 inches thick with everything you could imagine, you may have to way a couple of months to get something but at least it is available!

I wish this site would let you maintain such tables and allow modifications to it in following days/weeks to keep it up to date. These types of directory tables would save a lot of time combing though series of emails.

As for the Kuryakyn stuff, Victory has Kuryakun make alot of stuff. But you have to purchase it through Victory, Kuryakyn can not market it themselvse, just like the Saddleman bag that fits in the passenger seat of the Vision. All the grips, foot pegs and other miscellaneous items are Kury stuff.

Tim....For posts in the Tech Q&A you can only edit for about 30 minutes or so but for posts in the Tech Reference section there is no limit on how long after you can edit. I just went back to a thread I added to the Tech Reference over a year ago and it would still let me Edit it if I wanted.
So as long as you put the list in the Tech Reference Section I think that should work for you.
BTW...Thanks for offering to create/maintain the list. I am sure it will be a valuable reference that many of us will benefit from. |

Posts: 496 Scottsdale AZ | Here is another example of an accessory out there that was almost impossible to find. --In the Gallery Chuck has photos of his blacked out V and one of the things he had was a blacked out dial/instrument bracket. I posted a comment on where he got it etc. He sent me a PM and said he got it from the dealer who had it in stock. He thought is was Polaris/Victory item but wasn't sure. I went to both Vic and Ness Websites and found nothing. I sent him another PM and found the part #, called ness, nothing, called Polaris and they found the item under dealer order only. Called two dealers none in stock, didn't even know about them. Called Chucks dealer and one is on the way from them.
My point is I don't think we even know what is out there with Polaris. The lady I talked to at Polaris admitted only 15% of what they have for sale is on the Victory Web Site. ???What??? --and- most of that is dealer only purchase. Hello!!???Makes me wonder how much money I have saved by the poor marketing and communication of accessories between Victory and the dealers??
I know I had the same (now remembered) experience on my other Vics that I wanted to bling up ---

| I am using the new LoJack. If you bike gets moved without the keyfob within distance, it emails, phones and pages you to check on your bike. I periodically test it when I have to move the bike in the garage without the key. I get a phone call and email that I messed up =).

For the last 5 consecutive years, the Harley Davidson has sold more merchandise in their retail stores than they have motorcycle units
nation wide. What does this mean in true numbers?? Simple MORE people wear HD crap then own an actual HD bike.
Thats a lot of wanna be's, wish I could's, and someday hope to's. Compared to 96% of all Victory merchandise is sold to Victory motorcycle owners. We might be a mere 2% but we're real. |
