Posts: 52 Park City, Utah | I put the factory road pegs on when they first came out. A needed thing for my legs to stretch. They are functional but not at all attractive. These new ones are a really sexy add to the bike. Glad that they give the owner a choice now. My own preference is a functional AND beautiful look.
I promise to get the camera out and take some close ups as soon as I can get my bike to the front of my garage. OR I'll call TCP and ask them to shoot some close ups and to answer any questions.
my dreams at night are of riding bikes again soon. TOO much mt snow for that right now. Ride on, All. Rock |

| One thing you can be sure of is that they are quality made from Tri-City. Everything I have seen from them has been top shelf. I remember when they were the first to have a swap deal for chromed wheels. Great dealer too.

Posts: 52 Park City, Utah | Rebel, I need to get good pictures! NO, they are a solid unit with 2 - 90 degrees bends. The things are TOUGH and attractive. NO exposed nuts and bolts. In fact, FOR SALE CHEAP, Factory road pegs. lol. pm me. I WILL GET good photos ASAP. stay tuned.
My bike has paint work, Chrome this and that, a 21" Ness front rim and these "pegs" are one of the best touches I have seen. but I know, this thread is worthless w/o pictures. |

Posts: 52 Park City, Utah | Here are the pictures of the road pegs. They do not hit the road first... the base of them hits the pavement just like the victory ones and rolls the floor board up, the foot rest section never hits the road. I am not picture posting savoy here. If someone is then, send me an e-mail at dat@xmission.com and I will e-mail them to you to post here. Thanks.

Posts: 935 Rockford, IL | I'm kinda bleh on these. They sit in pretty much the EXACT same position as stock pegs....don't they?
I do not like the "V" look at all. And not having a rubber base to put a rubber soled boot on doesn't make much sense to me. Aren't these slippery?
About the only benefit I see is that there is a slightly larger area to plant the feet.
For the price I'd much rather go with the standard units from Vic. I really don't see how these units from TPC are worth more to me.
I wish someone would quit thinking only primarily about looks when they design and manufacture something like this. Come up with an adjustable highway peg and I think they will sell like hotcakes. By adjustable I mean put some slots in them so they can be moved up/down and/or back/forth. What might be "perfect" for one might not be for the other. But....an adjustable set would probably be perfect for a lot more people.....if not all.
But this is all MHO though. |

Posts: 3006 San Antonio, TX | Thanks for the side view. Looks like I could rest my heal on the floor board and instep on the foot peg.
I have the Victory Highway Pegs and do not like the bolt/hinge/peg connection and total length. Most of the time I ride with my heal on the floor board and instep on the foot peg. One time I tapped a highway barrel that had a narrow top and a wide base with the footpeg.
I wish the Victory foot pegs were about 3" shorter in over all length.

I've been looking at the stock highway pegs for a while and been reluctant to purchase due to a lack of adjustability.
These have the same problem and look as if the were designed by the guys who created MAD MAX for 2 wheeled combat.
The photos on the Victory site are not large enough or high enough resolution to determine if the peg mounts could be replaced with something like this offset mount from Kuryakyn?
Anyone who has a set of stock highway pegs care to let us know.

Great heel rest. perfect for toe out/heel on boards position. 110% well built product. seem to be a lot more narrow than the way the factory ones stuck way out. thrilled with the finished product now. Thanks for the effort TCP. stock peg for sale cheap. |

Posts: 52 Park City, Utah | I doubt they whistle. These were developed and tested by TCP with prototypes prior to production. If they whistle they are silent like deer whistles. benefit! lol. The wind deflectors are quiet in every position so I doubt these make any noise. |

Posts: 235 Kincardine, Ontario, Canada | These pegs look well made. I would like to see some type of rubber insert as well or a heel rest to prevent your foot from slipping off.
I also 2nd the adjustable idea, I would not buy them, because with my 36" legs, I would like to stretch out. For me they would need to reach above an beyond the from tip over bracket |

Posts: 52 Park City, Utah | bikerdave, I put the pegs on while floorboards were on the bike, Then took the floorboards off to install the Ness tops. I didn't realize that the rubber goes back on and under the Ness tops. the trick was getting the floorboards back on and the spring in the right posistion. first one I fought with, second one took me under a minute. pm me for the trick when you're looking at it.
candu, the sole of my boot allows it to hook on the peg. then as needed you can go over the top and rest your heel for a full leg stretch. I have a 34 inseem. works for me. |

Posts: 377 O'Neill, Nebraska | I just ordered a pair and asked about the lack of 'rubber' on the top of these. The parts guy I talked with said they've added a clear covering (he used the term 'bra' and said that several of the guys in the shop have this item on their Visions'.
IMHO these look much nicer than the Kury version that Victory sells. On another note, when I called this dealer they were very eager to provide other Vision parts like the brake fluid cover, etc. I went ahead and added myself to their e-mail list for future Vision parts.

Posts: 244 Lindale, TX | I sold the OEM highway pegs because I couldn't stretch out my 37" inseam enough. The OEM highway pegs seem to come out about 2/3s of the way up the floor boards. These look like they mount more forward. They look pretty good, but I've learned my lesson and will wait til I see them in person some day to decide. |

Posts: 133 New Castle Delaware | I just received my pegs today. They are really nice looking and well made. It took about 30 min to install, you do not have to take off the floorboards just the rubber top. The clear covering is a piece of clear film sticky on one side and when I put the first one on it looked like crap cause it makes the chrome look dull. I removed it. I like the location and the height of the pegs. I always rode my ultra with my heel on the board and my toes on the hiway pegs on the engine bars. These pegs set up about 3" higher than the boards so if you put your heel fully on the peg I still have a bend in my legs and I wear a 32" inseam so EASTTEXASRIDER these are probably not for you. Hope this info helps some of you riders on the fence. |

Posts: 377 O'Neill, Nebraska | All I can say is WOW about these highway pegs. Actually they're not pegs, which I really like. Indeed the pictures don't do them justice. they are VERY solid and the chrome is top notch. The way I look at it....for $40 more than the Victory version, this is the way to go. And the V on the top really adds a nice touch. |

Posts: 1158 Richmond, Virginia | hey Rock Star, thanks for the great photos, i was hoping to see an install similar to my bike. I have a black 08 Street Premium with the Ness Chrome floorboards, so to see yours with the V-pegs sold me. In response to someone earlier, whos comment was about
practicality and functionality over form and aesthetics,,, uhhhh didnt you BUY A VISION for that very reason? If it looked like a two wheel shoe box you wouldnt have bought it. While I agree that its a shame there is no rubber, its also not that hairy of a deal that they dont either. If you want a black piece of rubber with a little chrome tip on it, ebay is probably your best source. |
