Posts: 1290 Ruskin, Fl | Hi, I guess my subject is not accurate, there is nothing wrong with the starter. My bike will not crank in neutral. For a while if I giggled the shift lever, it would crank. Now I must put the clutch lever in. A dealer that has no idea what they are doing replaced by primary cover a few years ago after a crash. Would not surprise that it is something they did . I don?t know where to start to diagnose the problem. Going on a couple of long trips soon and don?t want to get stuck. Push starting a Vision is not an option, I?ve tried. Also, as a last resort can I jump the solenoid at that starter if need be.
Thanks |

As long as your clutch safety switch is still good, it will always start by pulling the clutch anyway.

Posts: 1290 Ruskin, Fl | Thanks Ronnie. Yes, the green neutral light illuminates and so far the gear indicator is correct. Where is the neutral safety switch located? |
