| I Need to repair or replace my starter on my 08 vision. Do I have to remove the front exhaust pipe and/or the lower frame support? If I remove the starter bolts will I be able to drop down it enough to remove it?

| just the exhaust I believe. You might have to smack the starter with a rubber hammer to get it to come loose.
Say there are some videos on youtube generations are the same. Take old bearings to a bearing store they'll have some good one.
Automobile electric repair shop can rebuild the starter better then new they might have brushes too.

| Having a b... of a time getting that front pipe off. I'm thinking of cutting the clamps that hold the chrome cover on then I can hit it with a soft mallet. It does wiggle a small amount. The starter works but has been making a howling sound. If I ever get it out I plan to take it to a local shop that does specializes in starters etc.
Snow is almost gone so gotta get this and a rear tire done!
