At 7:10 PM tonight drove by Ironhorse of San Antonio / Alamo Custom Cycles. I was shocked to see that it was a shell of the store I was in a month ago. A sign on the door says "Taking Inventory" "To pick up your bike go around back"

The Chopper side of the house had only two bikes (one victory vision and another bike) and a picked over clothes rack. Only one display was still standing on this side of the floor, all of the other displays were gone.

Across the front window were five bikes, three of which were choppers. In December this area had at least thirty bikes.

The victory side of the house had seven or eight more visions and less than twenty other victory bikes all in a tight group. There were two pipes with shirts and another picked over clothes rack. No leather, no jackets and nothing else of high value.

In December every wall was full of parts for every bike they sell. What was really shocking tonight was that the aftermarket parts, chopper parts, victory parts and just about any other part hanging on any wall was gone. There were a few still around but not much to count for inventory.

I looked in the shop area from the outside by the service desk and I did not see the lift that sits by the door. There was a fender on the floor and some other parts. I did not get a very good look.

Has anyone heard anything about what's going on?

I was over there a week ago with a Victory dealer from Houston picking up two Visions...spoke to the owner and they have closed the doors.....the Victory dealership has been p/u by either the Suzuki or Yamaha dealer north of there.

I will call around and see if I can find out about the new dealer. I can always go to Austin for work. Naplam in Austin has some really nice people working there.

I just read on Two Wheeled Texans that I of SA / ACC filed for Chapter 13.

I just got off of the phone with a source that confirms that Yamaha of San Antonio is working to pick up the Victory line since Ironhorse of San Antonio / Alamo Custom Cycles is closing. There is a lot of work to do and paperwork to sign but a deal is in the works.

I hope it works out. San Antonio is the 28th largest metro area in the US. I always thought it was a shame that we only had one Victory dealer. Now we have none.

If we go with Kentpower sports they have great people. I will miss the guys and gals at ACC and truly wonder if the location is what killed them. It's likely that those $50k+++ choppers finally did them in. At Napalm in Austin....the Victory Vision is the top dog at $22k.

Best of luck to Chuck and Kim!

That sucks. I was just there when I went home for Christmas. I always looked forward to stopping by whenever I was in town because they always had a good selection of BLING!

I stopped by Yamaha of SA on I-35 and all of the salesreps came out to check out my Vision. They were very complimentary of the bike and really liked the lines of it. I told them about the rest of the bikes (Jackpot, 8-ball, etc) and they were very excited about them.

It appears the deal to buy Joe Harrison Motorsports is old news and already done. Their hunch is that the Ironhorse choppers will go to Joe Harrison and they think that Victory will go to I-35. That would give the owner every bike except for Kawasaki. Oh of course....no HD's.

I warned them about Victory owners....we're as passionate about our bikes as HD owners, but we're nicer. Keep the faith guys!
