Posts: 804 Perry Hall, MD | I agree that it isn't a Vision, but it is interesting.
My Vision has always been dependable, and with just 70k on the odometer still performs great, turns heads every time I'm on the road, and makes me a happy pilot. For others who may have had a different experience, or simply desire to have something new a change to something like the Star Venture might be a good move. There is no enticement for me to replace the Vision with something else 'just because', but I appreciate knowing about what is available in the same class if the time comes. Thanks Banjo.

No, it doesn't "look" like the Vision, but it certainly has all of the same design elements only taken to a whole new level. Unlike Victory, it's quite evident the Yammi engineers have been listening to several of us Vision owners posting on various forums what our desires are for a newly redesigned bike and actually listened to the customers. When you watch some of their videos unveiling the bike, it's pretty obvious they are tuned in to the typical Vision owner and "...developed the bike for that niche of the market except modernized it." |

Posts: 411 Dallas, Texas | I like it, but seems like the center of gravity might be a little higher, and the riding position not quite as long legged. However, does the gas cap leak...is it difficult to add gas to..do the saddle bags not close quite right....does the trunk rattle...does the radio suck at picking up stations..?? But then run and ride beautifully...things you get used to.

Posts: 25 Hastings, MN United States | I rode one last weekend at a Star demo days and had the following thoughts:
- the rev limiter is way too easy to hit - wind and rain protection aren't as good as the Vision - the infotainment system is way too complicated It was nice but I'm still searching for a Vision replacment. |

Posts: 154 Danbury, Connecticut | Sjaskow, How was the comfort and handling? Is the lean angle comparable? How does the engine pull compared to a stock Vision? I suspect braking is probably better than the Vision? How much time did you actually get to spend on it? |

Comfort and handling were on par with the Vision. I'd say the lean angle was close but I didn't really get to try it. My only real complaint was the back rest was kind of short.
The engine pull was better than my stock Vision but the Vision has much longer legs.
Braking was about the same, it's dual-disc ABS but I don't know about the linked part.
The demo loop was about 20 miles and, with the exception of about 1/2 mile, all 2 lane with some decent curves. |
