Posts: 309 Vineland, NJ United States | A look at this OEM parts diagram shows a replacement part number for the Vision rear shock. I'm "assuming" that means its a different shock? than the original OEM that came on my 2008 Vision. Does anyone know what the difference or change is with the new replacement part number? Is is it stiffer? different weight spring? etc.

| Am guessing KYB changed the rebound weight or something like that. I'm sure if you went to late model shock p/n 1542903 you would be just fine.
If you wanted to lower the bike you could use p/n 1542904 and be just fine. You might have to run more air in it |

Posts: 309 Vineland, NJ United States | that's why I made the original post. I have a 2008, I had dealer install new OEM rear shock and it's like I'm riding a hard-tail. Even riding double it's stiff as hell. I brought it back to dealer had the double check everything and they said everything is installed correctly? I'm not happy with the ride. I've played around with the air pressure, nothing seems to matter.....way too stiff. I'm willing to try the Penske but I don't know if that would be any softer?? Ed |
