Troy, NY | This sucks!!! They are keeping the Indian motorcycles though. I thought they made too many of the smaller bikes that looked too much alike! They didn't learn what the auto companies realized in having too many different models. They could have had four with on being the Vision of course!!! |

Looks like I have two collectable motorcycles.
They both run fine and have always been reliable. I've never needed a dealer to keep them going anyway. I'll just keep riding them.

Fremont, CA | I saw this coming. These losers jump on the Indian bandwagon, and they think they hit a home run. All they managed to do was recreate a legend that died decades ago, and they now think they can take that forward. WRONG, if they ever change the look of that iconic motorcycle, they will fail. With victory, they had stepped out of the box and built a modern day American made motorcycle that was hands above the competition. This is exactly whats wrong today, and I just don't know if we can fix it. |

Sad day indeed. I feel sad for the Polaris workers who were dedicated to the brand (they were told today, just like us). Also for the support industry of 3rd party vendors and Vic-only dealers.

Pretty good piece except he stated that Victory introduced the innovative 106 and 6 speed with the Cross Country and Cross roads in 2008. We all know that was the Vision, and the Cross bikes came out later. He completely ignored the Vision, which is one of the most innovative bikes ever made.

New York | I haven't posted here in a long while myself.. and I still have my 2009 Tour Premium... yes.. it's a sad day..but like others have mentioned; it seemed that Polaris put Victory on the back burner when they purchased the Indian brand. I personally think Polaris knew back then they were going to pull the plug on Victory..I feel betrayed for being so loyal.. ;-(

New Bohemia, VA | There are a lot of things in this world to get made about; this is not one of them. If you really love Victory that much, continue to ride with pride. Business is business, and apparently Victory didn't have enough to keep it going. I have a bike that folks still say, "What is that, it's beautiful." I like being different, and I said 9 years ago, if they quit making the Vision today, I'm happy, because I have mine. I still have mine. I didn't buy it to support corporate, I bought it because it is a great product, still is, that hasn't changed. |

Punta Gorda, Florida | I am disappointed that Victory is leaving. I demo'd an Indian and didn't care much for it, felt the Vision was a better ride for me. I think Polaris is going after the low hanging fruit -- boomers with bucks -- with the Indian, then will eventually drop that brand too. After waiting 4 months for a part last year, I knew something was wrong, this recent news just confirms it. I toyed with the idea of buying another bike recently, but couldn't get much enthusiasm going. I wonder though, just read that Triumph's 2016 profits are way up... Maybe they know something Polaris doesn't |

Danbury, Connecticut | So what do you suppose happens to the remaining new inventory value? Does it plummet or stand firm. I'd still consider buying another Vision if they start liquidating cheap. I can't imagine any bike is going to satisfy me as much as the Vision I own-hell the one I have now will probably last as long as I'll be riding(hopefully 20 or so years)I would think dealers are going to want to move them quick now. For the right price I can make some more room in the garage. I wonder what Polaris is going to do for the dealers. Hard to imagine a division with such high satisfaction levels just folds up. |

Palm Coast Fl. | I feel we all got totally screwed! Feel sorry for the few dealers that are out there. (Maybe a stronger network would have made more sales) To Polaris, I will never buy any product again that you manufacture (unless you bring back an updated Vision) If I wanted a 1950's bike with 50's styling I would have bought a Harley a long time ago. I guess as my Vision ages I will have look overseas for a modern touring bike. I know Polaris is supplying our military with vehicles now. Wonder what the Donald thinks of a Canadian company instead of an US company vehicle transporting our troops?

Danbury, Connecticut | Pretty sure that Medina, Minnesota is still in the U.S.A(That's where the Polaris Headquarters is based). That was one of the reasons many of us purchased Victory bikes. Beyond that I share your frustration. The good news is the bikes are designed so well, they will be around for many years. Plus every five years you can paint the bike a different color scheme and say it's the latest Victory model-that's pretty much all Victory has done since the Vision came out, except for the transmission update and ABS. |

Orlando, FL | I am saddened as is everyone. I do not know all the financials, but understand that sales fell in the last 3 years. But that doesn't mean the company was unprofitable. Does anyone know if they tried to sell Victory? Did anyone try? Or are they keeping it all to themselves even in death? |
