| LOL....according to this I've been putting it on exactly the way he says not to for years! Somewhere along the line, I guess I thought or learned that dielectric grease helps with connectivity while keeping all the crude and gradu out.

Posts: 28 Carrollton, TX | I apply a light coating of the dielectric grease to the boot AND terminals. I have had zero problems since doing so. I use the grease on the terminal to prevent corrosion. I've had to replace ignition cables in the past because the terminal had attached itself permanently to the plug.
A little bit goes a long way. The idea is to seal against air. no air, no corrosion. |
