Posts: 416 Prairie City, IA United States | It has been a great 5 year run on the Vision. 109,500 miles of great riding. I ran into a deal on a 2016 CCT on year end closeout and pulled the trigger. They gave me a decent number for the trade in value too.
In the 4 years & 11 months that I owned this bike I only had a couple of maintenance items. the starter was replaced under warranty, Front shock seals and a new Pensky shock at 92K.
If Victory makes a few small tweaks to the Vision, I will probably be back on one.

The Penske shock is a good shock. The key is to make sure you get the weight right. I ride mostly single but made the weight for adding my wife on. It made the bike about 1" taller because of that. Ride wise, I really couldn't tell much difference. I needed a shock and a new OEM shock was 6 - 8 weeks out vs 3 weeks on the Penske.
I too have the Uni-Go trailer. When I need it, I don't even know it is there. With the new bike, I may never need the thing. The wife rides an Indian Chieftain and carries all of her own luggage when we travel. |
