have 40K on a 08 vison. fuel gauge just below the half mark with 190 miles on it.

Tago to how many miles left and it says I have 130 miles left.

That means I can go a total of 320 miles. never been able to go that far before.

so filling up with gas I get in 4.3 gallons and thats right to the very top of tank.

Using my phone doing the math I get 42.1 miles per gallon.

Not sure whats going on except I have no faith in the gauge

Float

Yep. Saturated. Eventually it will just read empty all the time..

Replace the float with one for a 1930 Ford Model A http://www.mikes-afordable.com/product/A9313B.html

Replace mine with a brass float about the same size works great.

Thanks guys
I went and filled up today. 207 miles 5 gallons of gas right to the over flow mark. Stopped at dealer just down the street had to order the o-ring. Gee $6 dollar part they can't keep in stock.
Looked up on the net for model A parts here in town. Found one in city have neoprene float for $1.29
now have to wait for o-ring and the humidity and temps to go down. Sure hate the idea of pull the hole front end a part.

Thanks again

You don't have to pull the whole front end, it took me maybe 30 mins. to get to the fuel pump and remove it..... I just work on the area of the upper right side. Also I replaced both headlight bulbs a couple a weeks later and found a way to get the headlight assembly out without pulling the whole front end, the plastic panels will bend enough to pull them apart but you don't want to force them.
