| I have been sitting around lately thinking about how much I love motorcycles. Well the other day I was cleaning my garage out and I came upon a picture of myself at around 7 or 8 years old on my bike with big smile on my face. Looking a little farther at this photo, I noticed I had playing cards pinned to the wheels with cloths pins. Well you have to be in your late fifties to appreciate the wonderful sound that those cards made. I thought I was Elvis or James Dean as I had a tight tee shirt on and my hair greased in to a ducktail. Well thats where it all started for me, and to this day I still have that love of two wheels and the roar of an engine between my legs and the wind in my face. I also found a photo of me with indian war paint on my face. I was always the contrarion and still Im. I just might have to have one of those new Indian motorcycles to go with my war paint. |

Posts: 261 Sugar Land, TX (Outside of Houston) | When I was young, a neighbor had old Mini Bike frames and parts stored in their back yard. Our dream back then was to try to get them to just give them to us to fix. After all, we were Bike Experts already putting Banana Seats and extending the forks on our Bicycles. Never got the courage to ask for the parts (It was a strange family). And we envied those that had Mini Bikes.
Then I got the first one (A Honda XL 125) and was hooked from then. Always had "Garage Project" Bikes, rebuilding a 1976 Honda XL250 and an 80's model Suzuki GS 450.
Then One Day I decided - Hey, I need one I don't have to work on. So came the Suzuki Voulsia and that, of course led to the Vision. Now I have 5 Motorcycles in the Garage (Two are my son's Crotch Rockets), but they both love to ride my cruisers.
Thanks for stimulating the Synapses on those memories!
