29 Palms California | She just collects dust in the garage now. I ride her to work when I can. I just won a best bagger at the toys for tots run, and haven't been able to ride since. It happens, do you think $17K is a good deal. I would have got her for that in a heart beat, if they were even out last year! |

Im at 14k miles. Just changed tires out about 2 months ago. There is nothing to be done about my back. Disc went bad. I put in a good run. I have pain walking so you could put a hooker with endless bj's on the seat and like a bull rider, would only make it 8 seconds. Yeah, you heathens, the second and third time i would only last 8 seconds. Not bad for a 43 year old?
Think $17k is to much or little?

Have you thought of any mods that can make riding a possibility? I saw a Goldwing with hydraulic wheels on the rear that lower when coming to a stop and raise up when taking off. Very cool!
I hope you find a good home for your Vivi if not at your home. Best of luck to you! For many of us acquiring one of these Visions was a bitter-sweet experience and took a lot of patience . I am truly sorry to hear the news. take good care, and wishing you a stronger healthier back in the New Year...

I road her down to a Jeep dealer, about 5 miles round trip. Didn't want to get off, but had to.
They insulted me with $12500 for trade in. I figured i would give my buddies on the site here, first poke at her before she went out onto the open market. Funny thing is, they all came out of the dealership....with the same remarks we get everywhere...all along the WOW lines. But then kick me in the twig and berries with that insulting trade in value.
It's not that bad, my girls think it's a good idea. It's better to sell her, than to watch her sit and collect dust.
I've come to peace with it.
Give me a shout if you know about anyone in the market. I mean, $17k seems like a great deal to me. |

Im putting her in the lot here on the Marine Corps Base. She won't last 2 days before someone will snatch her up. I wouldn't mind her going fast, but have a lifetime to sell her. I'm in no rush, just needs a good home. A Vision Premium foster home, with visits every now and again? |

If you arent in a huge rush, I would try to hang on to her through the winter months, you could probably get a better price once it starts to warm up and the motorcycle interest picks up. plus we will be farther away from the recession/depression that George apparently doesnt believe that we are in. I wouldnt give her away, especially if you are unfortunately having to give up something you love, dont let your last memory be " i had to give it away" make it a positive buddy. |

Rockford, IL | Unfortunately........considering what they have been going for on Ebay lately the $17k might be a a bit on the high side. Especially with 14k on the clock. I know Ebay can sometimes be a mean beast, but it is what it is...and that is a pricing guide for "worth". Depending on your locale you are probably going to end up taking a hard nailing on the price selling now versus wating till spring. Is it the ride thats killing your back? Or is it the mount/dismount issue? In both of these areas there are some options that I would try. Such as a Utopia backrest, or highway pegs or different seat. And if its the mount/dismount area I'd try out some different "styles" such as stepping on the floorboard and then mount or whatever. And air-ride suspension is an option. In other words....I'd try almost all options prior to giving up my scoot. Especially if I was gonna possibly get slaughtered on the selling price. |

I've decided to sell, and although it sucks, i don't feel it financially wise to have a 25K paper weight/ dust collector in my garage. If i didn't owe on it, maybe, but since i just can't swing a new auto and the bike, i choose the auto. I have to ge to work. |

What recession? I haven't talked to, or heard of anybody, yet effected by said recession. Media driven hype! What does George have to do with the economy? The privately owned federal reserve bank and Wall St. works that deal over us tax payers. What in the world did you start me going for? I just ranted 2 paragraphs before looking back, and having to delete everything. I have political views, the same as every gun owning, God fearing, heterosexual male and female in the USA. Lord knows i would love to bitch slap you for bringing the Presidents name into a simple offer to sell my Vision Premium due to my physical disabilities. Then again, I'm all Effing PC now, so I'll refrain from popping off and being disgruntled and crap. Damn it. |

You being the twisted and unruly Marine Corp Devil Dog, I thought this to be a shamtravshamockery, but then I kept going to see if this would play out in your favor. With a long Muuaahhahah at the end. I have yet to see this and you have stuck with the party line. For a fella who was gettin loose and jiggy wit it. This is odd to say the least. I'm stuck for a moment on thoughts, cause I surely surmised at some point, the great minds of BuckN8kd, Soaring Eagle CJnoHo, SandinthecrevicesJim, and LongDistanceVaRyder, Songfan, and me, GreatandMightyChickenLittle, would meet over campfire and beverages of sorts (and other things). Now only to learn that you are discontinuing your hunt with big knife. Maybe you hang onto beer, hardhat, and small hammer!!
I too have felt the crunch of back, can't hardly sit in an office chair. But surprisingly can sit on a bike and have no issues, thought about the Utopia, just haven't dropped the cash. Don't know if it would help. I don't know what it would take for me to give this or any bike up. I'm pretty well attached. I'm like some of the other folks, here. It would take a bit of hardship to uproot me. I figure if I can ride in cage, I'd have to see about a trike and put a car seat on it. Something, anything, grab and squeeze, twist and pull, something1!!!
Dang it. I too have felt the crunch of falling gas prices and apparent dysmal outlook on the economy. I can't even tell you the last time I road. My bike has been parked and the odometer stopped at 16k. I now pickup kids from daycare and afterschool camp so am unable to ride anymore until this time has passed. I made it to right about the one year mark. So, yeah, I got me a paperweight, dust collector, place to rest my butt while I'm in the shop. So, I too, have stopped rolling, it starts to wear on ya. I feel the pain. I just can't stand to part with it. My time will come again, not sure when, but it will. It took me 15 years to get back and I ain't leaving without a fight or at least a cockfight.
I too, will at least give you $10,500, seeing as how you need to offload it.

However $21k isn't what its "going for" though. It is what is being "asked for", which is completely different than "going for". With Ebay the "going for" can be found...as mentioned...in the completed Ebay listings that are green. Guess you could say that in some cases "asked for" is called the "hope/dream/fantasy/bail my ass out" price. And "going for" is the "reality/holy crap I'm in trouble" price. Remember, you did ask...twice...if the $17k is a good price or not. Well for your area in CA it might be a good price. Heck, possibility it might even be a bit low...who knows. But there is a possibilty it might be to high. All I'm doing is answering your qestion of price. Lord knows we ALL want you to get a good decent price for it ! And it would kinda suck for all of us if you don't. |

It was all good until someone said, it's the presidents fault. Even if it was this new guy, Obomanation, he has little to do with the pace of the economy. Unless you consider allowing the private federal reserve to give us another "free check" out of thin air, then charging us interest on money that they created with a key stroke, and cost little to nothing for them. Then again, there is plenty to go around, here's some cash. Buy the way, your kids, not you will get to pay the debt, why worry!
I appreciate the advice on selling price. It has nothing to do with pollitics....Unless your from the south east, then you have to worry about the ticks. |

Brighton, Colorado | BUCKEYE! Damn sad to hear you're not gonna ride any more. I'm almost 60 and I thank God every day that I can still hop on the "crimson thunder." Hang on to those memories. I traded in my '08 black cherry premium tour (had 3500 miles) for the '09. I was in the dealer today and he has my old one listed at $18,920. The only extra on it was the luggage rack. Seems like $17K is a good price.
