I haven't been around the forums for a bit, after Ike tore up the coast I could see the financial writing on the wall so I high tailed it for Oklahoma where the economy is in a bit better shape. I just now got the family moved up here and got the internet going.

There's a couple things I noticed with my Vision since I traded in the heat and humidity of the gulf coast for the wind and the cold of northern Oklahoma. First, I never heard the cricket sound of the belt that some of you have complained about, down there, but up here I hear it, so I don't know if ambient temperature and or humidity have anything to do with it or not, maybe I just hit the magic mile mark that got mine to start. Second, up until it snowed and iced last week, I was faithfully riding my vision into work every day. When the temps get below 32 the temperature readout on the dash freaks out like this bike don't like the cold, it seems like it is pretty accurate to 32 degrees but anything below that and it reads way low, makes me feel colder when its 21 out and the Vision says its -9! Kinda wish I would of opted for the heated seats and hand grips now too! also now instead of 45 miles to the nearest dealer it's a 150 miles so I guess I will be doing my own servicing from here on out.

Anyway, now that I have internet again maybe I can stop in more often again

Welcome back Rat !

The temp gauge issue was recently discussed. Apparently there isn't a fix for the problem. Here is the discussion http://www.vision-riders.com/bb/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=2403&pos...

I agree, it's not a big issue, just hadn't noticed it mentioned before.

My riding time has really gone down since I moved here, I have only put about 2000 miles on it in the last 3 months, I used to put that on her in 3 weeks!

Hey Lotzafun, I see you are from Rockford, I grew up around the Freeport area. I was up there in June visiting my brother right after I got my vision. Stay warm!
