Got 52k on my 2011 vision needs clutch replaced. My question is can the plate be pulled out and new ones installed WITHOUT pull the clutch basket out of the bike? Someone told me to lay the bike over on the tipovers and pull only the clutch plate out and not pull clutch basket. The service manaul says different.

first drain oil. Then you'll need a clutch spring tool. Harley aftermarket shop might rent you one. you can buy one. Yes you can pull plates BUT go slow so you get everything back in same order. Lips on metal and fiber plates are crushell. There is a 2010 service manual here that should help you. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Motion-Pro-Clutch-Spring-Compressor-Tool-08...
