Posts: 212 Tavares, Fl | The handle bar volumn control also changed the channel. I bought an am/fm splitter from Sierra electronics and installed it in the CB antenna line and still had poor reception so it wasn't the antenna |

Posts: 212 Tavares, Fl | The dealer said it should be in next week along with the gas tank....As long as I get it I'll be happy, I'm in Ohio right now and the bike is in Florida so I can't ride anyhow.... |

| I'd be willing to bet thereception won't be much better on the new radio but I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. What was wrong with your fuel tank????
Did the dealer already install the NEW style handlebar control for the channel switching issue? If not you better have them order that as well. |

Posts: 212 Tavares, Fl | I couldn't fill the gas tank or gas would splash out while riding, at times I had gas splash out on my right leg while riding. The neck had a visible gouge in it and a depression that would not seal with the gas cap. I expected a fight because the dealer claimed I bent the neck. I argued that I have owned many cars and trucks, street rods and motorcycles and this is the first filler neck I've ever seen bent so they agreed to replace it. I really think the early gas tanks were made of some soft metal. The dealer didn't say anything about ordering the handlebar control. I'll check when I get back down. I may get the antenna mentioned in the other threads and install it if the reception doesn't improve. I seldom listen while I'm riding, I'd rather hear the humm of the engine and the wind rushing by but I keep it on for the better half as she likes to listen. I really wish they would install controls for the passanger. I really enjoy the bike but I was getting frustated dealing with trying to get it fixed. In Ohio the local dealer went out of business and the closest decent dealer was a two hour drive. |

Posts: 212 Tavares, Fl | I read that earlier, after the new one is installed I'll be sure and check the version....I really don't expect much out of the radio, I think Victory took a royal screwing from the manufacturer of the radio system, but what can they say they supposedly took three years to develop the bike they should have caught this one. I don't listen to it much, usually when I get tired of the engine noise I'll turn the volumn up but the better half likes to listen to talk radio, one thing I cannot stand, makes my blood pressure go up. I'll eventually download some music to an ipod and use it.... |

Since I have had it flashed. I had reset the Bass Treble and Fader settings from default 0. As stated on Vision-Riders before, turn up the Bass and Treble to +6 (the max). Now that it is set the same as before the flash update, I have noticed that it sounds better then before the flash when using the iPod. The lower mids sound better. AC/DC Back in Black sounds great now.
FYI I have stock speakers. I wonder if the 09's really have better speakers or just a better program in the radios DSP chip?
