Posts: 904 29 Palms California | Hey gang. I know, it's been a while. I can't help but jump on and give a bit of news.
Yucca Valley to 29 Palms Toys for Tots run which winded it's way through the Joshua Tree National Park. Great ride! At the end of the ride, we met at a park not far from MCAGCC 29 Palms. As I pulled up, someone mentioned a bike show for riders. I asked if I should put mine in, and I was given the thumbs up from my group. I haven't done anything "extra" to my 2008 Vision except add a bit of Ohio State "bling" on the back end. I ended up winning! There were a butt load of bikes, to enclude some sharp custom H-D baggers, but my OUT OF THE BOX, Vision won the Peoples Choice Best Bagger Award. All those H-D guys out there...ppppppplllllllththhththhhhh~!
I have to much on my mental plate to hang out, just thought I would let you who give a hoot, I'm alive and well. By the way, already have my Fiesta Bowl Tickets in hand! Don't start with me! I will hunt you down and gnaw off you arm! |

ridiculous cold here in the Northeast. God willing, one day my wife and I will be moving to a warmer climate. |

Posts: 2118 Pitt Meadows, BC Canada | I can understand this totally - we had a very big Custom Bike show in downtown Vancouver this summer that I wanted to to see - 'Annual Gastown Show-and-Shine'. We parked our Vision just on the edge of the show, and walked thru the hundreds of displayed bikes - about 6 downtown blocks shut down on a Sunday with thousands of visitors viewing the bikes.
When we got back to the Vision, there were dozens of folks around the bike, commenting, poking, taking pictures and so on. When I walked up and opened the trunk to retrieve our helmets, the comments from the people came flying at us - "This bike is the Best Of Show! Why Wasn't It Entered?". And that was true in my mind - I never saw a better bike that day. |

Posts: 904 29 Palms California | DesertJim, I plan on leaving "sunrise" on the 5th. It should take 4 1/2 hours from Yucca Valley. I'm trying to get a rental on the AF base for that night. I believe we have Sec. 118, Row 12. I will be wearing my BUCKEYES jersey and BUCKEYES SANTA HAT. I will be sporting No. 10. Don't you live in the area? By the way, my best friend and neighbor is a huge Texas fan, and we have tickets together. When I mean huge....he's 6'3, and just over 300lbs. I have to make sure i call on the eve of the 1st to get reservation on space available. One of the benifits of retiring from the service, we get so few, i'll take it. |
