Posts: 3773 Pittsburgh, PA | I know this isn't anything most people would care to do or what not, i was bored, restless and I just don't sit still to well.. it cost to me like $28- $35. I test rode it and All was well afterwards.. the lights are Not on the muffler itself. They are mounted into the tips which is over a 1/2 inch away from the mufflers. They comes on when the bike is turned on. I wired a switch, just in case for some reason I don't want them on...

| OK, I'm curious...
- where did you get the ring lights
- how well they withstand the heat.
- I haven't seen the fluted exhaust tips up close. Does the exhaust only come out the center hole? |

Posts: 3773 Pittsburgh, PA | Thanks guys, the lighted ring is installed on the fluted tips , not on the muffler . I used 60mm COB led and had to grind about 2-3mm total out of the inside of the flutter tips. The exhaust can come out of any of those holes. But the main muffler hole points to the center hole on the tips. I also put a role piece of aluminum in there to help direct the exhaust only to the center hole ... I took it for a long ride yesterday and as soon as I got off the bike I immediately went back there to see how the lights are holding up I was able to stick my finger inside the fluted exhaust tips and not get burned at all.. the vision exhaust is so damn long... and the fluted tips connect to the muffler via 3- 10 mm bolts .. BTW I got the lights at superbrightleds.com I didn't want regular 60 millimeter LEDs I specifically wanted a COB led |

Posts: 3773 Pittsburgh, PA | I think part of the reason why I did this was this is the longest I've ever kept a motorcycle generally every three years or so I get a new bike. I've been to Visions now a 2008 and then a 2011 I really don't see a need or a want to get a 12 or newer because they lack some things by 2011 came with stock. I recently paid the bike off. I am mediately started test riding the new Indian motorcycles, specifically the Roadmaster ! I test drove three of them when I was in Tucson Arizona in March. I was gung-ho for getting a Indian... until I test rode one.. I've never appreciated my vision as much as I did after the test ride of the Roadmaster! Then I thought to myself but what the hell am I going to do now? Because I'm hyper active and I get bored with things pretty quickly but I will be damned if I'm going to take a step backwards ! So I wanted to try to do any little thing I could to try to keep my (oh look there is a squirrel) attention span considering I've been on a vision now for 8 years total. It's still and absolutely amazing motorcycle this year I put an Alpine amplifier and 6.5 inch speakers up front and man did it make the sound system come alive ! thone 6.5 make all the difference! I would like to add a few more things to my bike but I'm a strong believer and there's a fine line between tasteful and tacky. And I'm not saying that what I do is tasteful I'm just fearful of doing anything tacky...
I've been tossing around a couple headlight ideas similar to the exhaust. But I'm still debating about the tasteful and tackiness part. Where I live is a die-hard Harley-Davidson area to the Core! Which I think is one of the other reasons why I love the vision. I don't see it on every street corner. There's no monkey see monkey do mentality here..

Posts: 70 Indianapolis, IN United States | Hey Arkainzeye, did you ever get a chance to get pictures of your wiring? Also, did you use the same 60mm COB for the headlight? How hard was it to open your headlight? |
