What kind of mileage are you guys getting after you get some miles on? I've only got about 240 miles on mine and loving every mile, even if it is 30 degrees out.

I have 250mi. on mine. Highway fuel milage is in the mid 40's. Riding to and from work, 8mi. each way, all stop and go, low 30's.

I now have over 700 miles on my MCPTour & am averaging 41 mpg. Pretty impressive since I ride like I stole it. Don't hit redline but close in 1,2,3,&4th. Have had her over 100 mph but that's a place I'm not comfortable with YET lol. Luke

The first full tank I checked I got about 32 mpg, but I rode quite a bit in 5th gear in the 55mph speed limits. I'm thinking the mileage should go up after it's broke in.

With over 4300 miles I would say average is about 45.. Mileage is worst on highway at 80-85, it then drops down to 38-42
best mileage is moderate group riding under 60 mph... regularly getting 50 in that type of riding...

First hundred miles of Stage 1/Level 1 (600 total on the bike) - 22 mile commute each way, cruise set at 70 mph - 43 mpg. (Stock was about 45 mpg.)

I understand that my mileage isn't going to be very good in the winter because of letting it warm up little longer and the temp. My Kingpin was the same way, what's the temp. where you guys are at? I'm in MN, yesterdays high was about 35 degrees, I got on 45 miles or so.

40 degrees +/- 5 here.

Just for grins, when I had the stock exhaust, I set the cruise at 60 mph, 6th gear, 2000rpm.  The instant mpg flicked between 59-61 and the range to empty said 318.  Pretty cool.

I get in the mid-40's also. I just gt mine back from the 500 mile service. It justkeeps getting better! I can really feel the difference from when it had less than 100 miles on it, and expect more out of it after about 1500 or so. Last night I rode home at 31 degrees. Cold for around here. Thanksgiving just over the mountains in Yakima it was a balmy 25 for a high. "But its a dry cold"

Has anyone done the actual mileage calculation (miles/gals) or are you just going by the Vision's readout? In prototype bikes the calculation was inaccurate and Vic engineers said they were going to recalibrate it. Just wondering if the readout is now on spec.

I've done the actual calculations, riding two up at 80 mph, no head or tail wind, 44 MPG. The readout told me 42+...

As of three days ago I had 2318 miles with 13 fillups totaling 64.8 gallons, giving an overall average of 35.77 mpg.  My mileage per tank have all been between 33-38 mpg.  I consistently ride about 5-8 mph over the speed limit on highways - so about 55-75 mph is about normal for me.  I have a premium tour with stock everything right now and I ride with my windshield lowered when solo and raised when two-up, which is about 3/4 of the time.  I don't ride aggressively at all.  Spoke with a Vision engineer last Tuesday and he said that mpg in the upper 30s and low 40s would be about average.

Hope this answered your question.

Low fuel light came on and off this morning on the way to work. Came on steady at lunch. Filled up, exactly 5 gal. The last 1/2 gal. took a little finesse but it all went in. 180 mi, 5 gal. 36 mpg city. Not bad in stop & go. Displayed range before filling 30 mi. Dont like to run that low, gasoline helps the fuel pump run cool, but I was curious. The worst part- $20 for 5 gal.

The average MPG display appears to be acurate. My actual calculations seem to be within .5 mpg of the display. The range display looks like its based on taking the fuel level to 1/2 gal. before empty. Too close for my comfort. To date, 9 gal. 405 mi. total. Average-45 mpg.
approx. 50/50 mix of highway and city riding.

Highway at 75 about 43mpg, around town low 30's, BTW, I believe the calculation seen on the display is accurate but what it is doing is giving you real time mileage that varies from moment to moment, on hard acceleration I've seen low 20's while coasting it has displayed in the high 70's.

I've been getting about 30 - 36 mpg on the Vision, has anybody else been checking their actual mileage, and what is the results. Though the readout seems to be accurate, I would like to hear about the manual calculations. I find that mine is low and disappointing, but if that is what it is then I'm still happy to ride this fine machine. Also, let me know what pipe setup you are running. I'm still on the stock pipes but I'm considering S1L1 pipes.

I'm another MN rider that took a spin yesterday... OD is now at 285...
Picked her up in Nov. I've been out at least once a month since.
On my 2nd tank - not very good milage to date.
New motor and cold weather = low 30's

I feel a little like SongFan. Ignorance is bliss. The bikes readout says 43.7 avg/mpg for a 250 mile 2-up ride. We got an off/on fuel light between 210 and 220 miles on the trip odometer with a range of 40+ still showing. When we got to the next station the low fuel was steady and I filled the bike with 5.1? gallons. The Cherry Mash has almost 1000 miles on it in the first week (in the "rainy" Pacific Northwest) and the readout shows 45+ for single riding. I'm satisfied the readout is probably within 5-7% accurate. I'm also very happy that I didn't drive those 1000 miles in my 13.5mpg diesel F-350 truck. The Cherry Mash is running stock pipes and will probably stay that way.

Stage 1 Level 1 with filter and remapped, 3200 miles on the bike, 2500 miles on the Stage1 Level 1 set up. Using 91 to 93 octane, 40 to 43 mpg. Most riding two up with mixture of in town, two lane and freeway-interstate travel.

Las Vegas, Nevada USA baby!
After 954 miles in 2.2 weeks of ownership, I am averaging right at 40mph by calculations of my gas receipts and mileage ridden.

I am riding from 2000 foot elevation in Las Vegas to 550 foot elevation on ride to Laughlin, NV to 4700 foot elevation crossing some desert mountains, along with 40+ mph winds at times etc.

Stock pipes, Stock air intake, and my 'Pegasus' is the Steel Gray Tour Premium.

40mpg is extremely acceptable for a 106 cubic inch 890+ lb bike! My 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad got about the same with 95 cubic inches and 800+ pounds.

Im at 1900 mi. and city mpg is still at 32. Now that Im more comfortable with the handling, I have been riding more aggressively (nec. in LA, to keep the nuts from getting too close). I have noticed with the instant mpg readout the higher gear is not always the best for mpg. Keeping the motor close to 2500 rpm seems to yeild the best mpg.

Just did a long trip. On the Interstate I did a couple of comparisons. I averaged 43-44 at 75MPH and 37-38 locked on 85MPH. I chose the 85MPH for the most part, spent a little more in gas money, but enjoyed the beer a little sooner.
