| so was looking where to buy spark plugs. NGK p/n is 3481 plug number is DCPR6E. The NGK number is the importin one when looking. NAPA sells the plugs for $2.69 Local dealer sells them for $7.27 TCVR prices are each. $3.86 is a great savings in my book. NGK web site says gap should be .40 Victory say .036 who knows best. Most if not all auto parts sores caries these and some marine stores

Posts: 466 Grand Cane, LA | I use the DCPR6EIX which are the iridium version of the same plug. Supposedly less prone to fouling during lugging conditions or over fueling. I gapped mine as per Victory's spec. O'Reilly's can order them pretty quickly along with Advance Auto and Pep Boys. My AutoZone would not however. They couldn't even cross reference, but then again you got to know who they have working at my AutoZone.

Posts: 466 Grand Cane, LA | I've never used that tool for spark plug gap setting. Iridium is tougher than you think. Besides it the negative electrode you're moving and a regular gap tool will work for that. I have iridium plugs in both my Ford F-150s, my bike and ATV and have never used such a tool. Not to say they don't "recommend" it, but some companies will try to sell anything and tell you it is taboo if you don't use their "special" tools. |

Posts: 3773 Pittsburgh, PA | I've been using iridium for many years.. never needed a special tool to gap them.. not once.. I check the gap, then used needle nose pliers to grab the side and increase of decrease the gap until it's correct .. my 2005 vulcan 2000 came with those plugs. They last a long time |
