Posts: 29 Norman, OK | I used to ride a Honda ST1300. Great bike. Their forum had a very cool thing where they would hold workdays in regions of each state, the purpose of which would be to help one another do valve shims (we don't need that, I know), shock overhaul, mount tires, change out mufflers, whatever needed to be done. They would pool resources of knowledge and share specialized tools. I recently bought the RaceTech spring compressor to do my front forks, and it enters my mind that that somewhat pricey tool will mostly sit in my shop... but others could use it for their forks. If there is interest in getting this sort of think going, talk to me - |

Fountain Inn, SC United States | Great idea Karl. If anyone else has specialized tools or experience with certain maintenance/repair procedures, and are willing to lend a hand or advice, let's hear from you. |

| only two special tools I can think of is the stem nut and the fork springs
The rest of the tools are pretty normal |

| Good idea. A few bikers getting together to turn wrenches and then have beer and swap lies.
Hold my beer and watch this $hit. |
