Posts: 506 Woodland Hills, CA | Happened to me once shortly after I got the bike, but never again. I have had other problems though, and my dealer has a new radio on order, which will hopefully correct the problems. |

Sounds to me like you are more than stock in your set-up. I have read to many horror
stories to have an CB/intercom installed. Wished it could be done so I could consider
the Vision a tourer. )o:

PS. The new Kawasaki Voyager will not have an intercom system either. I must be one
of the few frequent 2-up riders in the buying market?

Mine has been working well ever since I had the reflash/update done on the radio/CB/Intercom.
I'm sure Kawasaki, and Victory, are taking their marketing cues from Honda and will make the communications system an extra cost option, or part of a more expensive "package deal". They know that many buyers will want the intercom and CB, but they can list the bike for a lower price without it as standard equipment. Granted, the Honda does come with the rider-passenger intercom as standard equipment, but the CB will set you back around a grand, as you already know. The Yamaha comes with all the farkles installed as a complete package, but the bike handles like a pig compared to the Vision or Goldwing. The wind/weather protection isn't as good either. "You pays your money and takes your pick".
Bottom line; I bought my Vision new, and installed the CB/Intercom myself (not difficult) for about $1000 less than what the comparably equipped Goldwing would have cost me new. I was able to negotiate a good price on the Goldwing too. Goldwings are good and I've owned them before, but I like this Vision better, except for not having reverse and a center stand. Nothing's perfect, including the vaunted Goldwings and BMWs.

| My Gremlins are, from time to time, when I turn the volume down, the station will sometimes adjust. For the flagship of the company, stuff like this should never happen. Kind of makes one wonder, if they don't pay attention to details like this ... Anyway, I just had XM installed, so hope to not listen to standard radio. (My dealer recommended installing an antenna from Radio Shack, which they may do on new arrivals to avoid this issue.) Hopefully, information like this will filter back to Victory and lead to improvements. Still, I do not regret the switch from HD Ultra Classic. |

Posts: 1484 LaPorte,Tx. | If you have just gotten your Vision, it may not have the reflash on the radio. I believe the new reflash version is 4.13, someone correct me if I'm wrong on that. So if your dealer has not done that to your Visions radio, you will have issues with the handle bar controls. If you still have issues with the handle bar controls after getting the reflash, then as with others here, the handle bar control module needs to be replaced. |
