As posted elsewhere, Victory has requested suggestions for accessories at http://www.polarisindustries.com/en-us/VRA/NewsEvents/PureSurvey.ht... .

One of my suggestions follows:

"I also own a Sportster that I purchased a module for that enables the rear turn signals to act as running lights & brake lights. The kit included red lenses to replace the original amber ones and a module that plugs in series into the wiring harness. The lights on the Vision trunk could operate as brake lights and turn signals where as now they only operate as running lights. I realize that this would require changing the lamps in the trunk to a higher output but this capability would increase the safety of the rider immensely. This is an option that I believe at least 50% of the Vision owners would purchase if it was available."

Any thoughts/comments on my 50% forecast?

I think it's a great idea! Any thing that helps us be "seen" better is right up my alley. I'm not sure how bright the tail lights "V" are. Any improvement on safety with lighting I give a thumbs up. (as long as I have the option to decide whats safe for me)

Heck, it would probably look pretty cool too.

I'm cool with that! The Vis stop lights are WOW very bright but having the trunk lights also light up would be a good thing. Luke

I would buy the trunk light upgrade option if available.
I'm also in if they ever decide to do ABS. It's very reassuring to know you can (if you need to) STAND on the brakes and come to a prompt controlled stop.
Hope somebody from Victory/Polaris monitors this board.

That is a great idea! Coming from riding Honda Goldwings and Yamaha Venture Royales for the last 11 years I can attest to the fact that the trunk lighting options, either from factory or aftermarket, are one of the first things added to these touring bikes, even with the advent of the 1800 Goldwing and it's near car like rear lighting, you can NEVER have enough lights on the back of a motorcycle.

Personally, I'd rather see the "V" lights used a little better. Instead of losing 1/3 of your brake lights when the turn signals are on, why not have the non-turning side all light up with the brake, then have the turning side cascade from top to bottom...

I'm trying to figure out a way to go sequential LED's in the V tail light, only mine would cascade up with the turn signal.

I considered the sequencing myself and I'm with you Songfan, up is the way to go for the sequencing. I have a sequencer off a 69 Cougar, hmmmmm.

Exactly what I was thinking!  Cougar/Shelby Mustang.  Coolest tail lights of all time.

Even if it's too pimpin for your style, you gotta love the technology.

WELL,
If all ya want is a tail light sequencer, break out the plastic from yer wallet.
Here's one for a 150 bucks. I have no idea of the quality of the kits. There are other sequencer kits out there.

I was at Randy's yesterday and got a pic of a MCPT. When I got home I discovered an image of another vision that was parked outside being reflected off the machine I was takin a picture of. Anyone interested?

Nope. I just went there to say YO and to take a few pics.
Randy had a new 8 ball with a "torn skulls" paint job and the Cherry Vision but it wasn't mine.
I'll post the Double Vision picture and see how it looks at the resolution allowed by this site. It sure looks fn neat on my desktop.

Is the Cherry Vision that Randy has a Tour model or a Street model?
