I am thinking about getting a seat with a backrest for the driver as I seem to be riding farther and farther lately. I rode from Atlanta to Daytona for Biketober and it was no problem going or riding around while I was there but on the way home it would've been nice to have a backrest. I noticed that the Arlon Ness bike has a backrest for the driver or has somebody found a better seat out there? I checked with Mustang in Daytona but they don't make a seat for the Vision. Every bike I have owned up until the Vision I always put a Mustang seat on and of course now with the Tour Premium I need to make sure the new seat will be heated as the wife loves that option.

I went to the Arlen Ness web site I did not see any seats for the Vision but I did see nice handel bars. There is a company Utopia that sells a Back Rest that works with the Vision heated seats. There is a thread on this site about people who have installed it in the Tech section

Thanks!!! Never heard of Utopia before and no search engine ever took me to that site but it looks like I'm going to give it a try.

The Utopia backrest is probably the best mod done so far to the Vision. With it 800 mile days are a pleasure. Have done several so far. The best thing for me is the ability to adjust the position while riding. Check out the Utopia site. Very well made and those of us that have them, enjoy them.

Monday I got the Utopia delivered to the house and I had a buddy lined up to help install it the day after Thenksgiving but since I had scheduled the bike for service on Wednesday I asked my dealer (Victory of Cumming Ga) if they could install it and he said yes. I did point out to them that the first part of the instructions clearly states that it install in minutes and after about 1 hour they had it done and would not charge me for it. So in the words of Forrest Gump, "I gotta go pee...". Sorry wrong quote, "I like it a lot!!!" I rode with some friends for about 200 miles today as it was 64 degrees in Atlanta and I am looking forward to my Florida trip next week. Thanks Mkultra and Trekwolf for the info!!!

I was thinking about getting a backrest for my vision also. i was wondering does anyone feel the backrest makes you sit to forward or upright? my corbins made me do this...

With the Utopia you can pitch it forward or lean it back to suit your need or taste. I really like mine.

There is an adjustment screw on the back of the backrest that can lean you forward, uprigtht or tilting backwards. You can adjust it as you ride along to change your riding position.

I purchased / installed the optional Vision leather seat w/backrest, one of the nicest seats I've ever ridden on, Very comfortable. Have put about 5K on it with the new seat, 5K without, new seat adds many more hours in the saddle.

In the 2009 OEM Vision catalog there is a replacement seat with driver and passenger backrests. item # 2876676. Fits 08 and 09
cost is 899.00 #2877155 passenger backrest 219.99. In my personal opinion (which is just that ) i saw a Utopia backrest. I think if you are just putting a backrest on the driver seat then that is fine, but if you have a passenger backrest or you have the Vic Plush passenger backrest and rack, then the Utopia looks pretty aftermarket and cheap compared to what Vic offers. Again as a stand alone its ok, but when you pair it with any other backrest, it looks K-Mart. I saw it on a bike at my dealer, the owner did a crooked
install job when he cut the vinyl, but its the rest itself that I think looks cheap. Go for the Victory model it suits and fits the level of bike you own

As long as it looks K-Mart, I'm ok with it, but if it looked Walmart, there is no way I would have bought it!
