Montreal, QC Canada | No seat belts, the noise issue. I was stopped on a highway, doing the speed limit, because the officer found my pipes (S1L1) to be too loud. He looked at the pipes and gave me a $185 fine. If I had argued, he could have fined me another $100. I have talked to other bikers about this and all we can do is hope we don't get stopped again. |

Grand Cane, LA | You could argue that ticket in court because unless the officer had a noise meter with to check the levels, his interpretation of "loud" is purely subjective and not reliable. I had the same issue when in high school with a truck I used to own. Judge didn't even question it. |
