Posts: 1308 Sand Rock, AL United States | yesterday, leaving work, I got a half mile away , slowed for a turn and going through the gears to get back up to speed, the bike hesitated for a split second then stopped pulling and started a knock down low. Not a motor knock in sync with the motor revolutions but intermittent . I got it to limp back into my work parking lot. The motor is totally fine. I'm thinking my drive pulley is keyed to the output shaft and the key is sheared. What do you guys think. It was late in the evening , cold and dark so I got my wife to come get me and I "drove" to work for the first time in 15 years to address the issue once it's daylight. |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | Yikes. If it's paid for, new bike, part out. Still owe, fix! In the scheme of things, you may be able to get the parts and fix it yourself. Chances are though, the dealer has it torn down to the point of replacing, so he's already accomplished a lot of labor, so you'll still owe something. |

Posts: 1308 Sand Rock, AL United States | It pays off in June. I still have a feeling it's time to start looking for a replacement. local independent tech (ex-Victory service manager struck out on his own) has it but he hasn't gone too deep. I can pay him for the roadside assistance and what labor he has done and start shopping. store it until the day I can repair it. |

Posts: 1308 Sand Rock, AL United States | I ordered an engine yesterday off ebay out of an 09 . It has diamond cut fins. Coming from Indiana . Estimated to be at my local shop on or before Tuesday. |

| Diamond cuts were Arlen Ness stuff. Does that mean that the Arlen Ness engines all have cams in them. |

no they Ness models didn't come with cams. The thinking is that if someone went to the trouble to remove the motor for diamond cut fins they might go ahead and install cams. Not absolute just a possibility that it might have cams. |
