Posts: 324 New Orleans, La, | Victory will introduce a new muscle cruiser model based on Project 156 engine called the Octane. I am excited as this engine most likely will be the bases of all new engines as it is liquid cooled and the EPA mandates are spelling the end of the air cooled engine for vehicle use. With that said and knowing the Vision is due for a refreshening it would make sense to incorporate a liquid cooloed engine into that update. Imagine a liquid cooled 1731cc V twin dohc with 160hp and 150 ft lbs all day comfort and evolutionary polarizing looks of a Vision. Ahhh! But I can dream can't I? |

| I agree with you. Things are looking good. I have started my "Jeffrey Fund" for a new Vision.
Picture this: Lloyd, Kyle, Kevinx and The Vic Shop sitting in a room with all the Victory corporate people planning and deciding what to bring out for the new Vision. I would love to be a fly on that wall. |

| Here's a little bit that RideApart is saying about the Octane. I'm not sure there's anything new but there is a ridiculously short teaser video. I too may have to start a "Jeffrey fund" hehe

| So I was at Arlen Ness's shop in Dublin Ca. Wednesday, picking up my Vision after having some work done. And Cory Ness rode one of his bikes out of the mechanics area. I think it was Cory, I've never met him tho'. It's one of 6 bikes going to, I think Cincinnati?, for an industry show, before going to Daytona for bike week. Sorry, I'm a little shaky on the details. The bike he was riding had 2 engines. 2 V-twin 125ci engines placed side by side. When the bike came back, the shop manager, John, showed it to me and told me about it. My Google-Fu isn't good enough to turn up any pic's and I wasn't about to whip out my phone and take one. Hopefully we'll get some pics after the show. Also, it was really long, like 9 or 10 feet. They had to move other bikes out of the way so it could turn. Seriously sick! |

| Hopefully it appeals to consumers and increases Victory's market share. Their product line has shrunk over the past few years and is troubling |

| Rode the Octane today at the Boji Bike Rally. Fantastic handling, no vibration, and it is very quick, especially with the package that gives it 11 more HP. |

| I think Victory needs to overhaul its image. I think Victory has devolved into an unsophisticated and cheaper version of the Indian, when they should be making the motor, brakes and suspension a lot more bad ass to give us most of the performance of Ducati. Sorry a 528 pound bike with about 79 horsepower at the rear wheel and ugly styling just doesn't make me want to do illegal things to get one. |
