Hello Folks! I am Gary Lighton, the owner of Vision-Mod.com

As most of you know, I stopped producing and selling the mod kits last fall.

It appeared that most riders had more interest in the massive LED mod that became avaiable, which dropped sales down to where I could not hope to keep costs down to a reasonable level.

I have recently started receiving some inquiries about my product and queered if I would resume production. I would be happy to do so, but I need to know there is enough interest to warrant tying up a couple grand in inventory. As you recall, this is more of a hobby to me than a source of income.

If you, or someone you know may be interested in purchasing a mod kit, send me an email at : sales@vision-mod.com

If I get enough response I will let you know here and re-publish the 'purchase' page on the www.vision-mod.com website.

Thanks all!

Glad I got mine many years ago. Even though the MBW light was more glitzy it was also more expensive and the product components unproven. G. Leighton Vision mod harnesses are factory harnesses with the added parts he uses to make them sequence that have been around for ever and proven to be durable. I can personally attest to his customer serviceif ever a problem is encountered. The WOW factor is an extra added value. Fellas, get those orders in.

Hey Gary, I'll gladly put a plug in for your product. This is the most cost effective mod you can do to your Vision. I have always gotten compliments from people when they see my Vision's turn signals. The brake lights look good as they roll up from the bottom light to the top when you hit the brakes. Polaris ought to pay you for your kit and include it on all Visions.

There Gary, a shameless plug for a great product.

Is there a link to see them in action? Plus I would need to know a price before committing.

On the products page it has a video of both the front and rear lights. looks good, imo. Not the best video and having it embedded flash video like that isn't the best to view but you can get the idea pretty good.

The price is what I'm wondering too.  The pricing is on the purchasing page but the purchasing page is currently offline.  I remember looking at these before but can't remember the price.  That may have been what stopped me from buying it before or I thought I was going to go full led (radiantz/mbw).

Gary, I have the rear set and really like them on my 09. If you decide to move forward on production, I know a few who would be interested and I'll pass along your info.

Gary I love mine and your service has been great. To me, the fancy LED lights look like crap. Please keep making your lights. You just need to keep promoting them by posting links to your site more often.

A quick update!
I have received enough positive feedback that I have decided to resume production, hopefully in the next week.

I hope to put the purchase/price page back up Monday or Tuesday. I'm just waiting on a couple items to verify my costs.
As those of you that have done business with me know, the business is just me doing a hobby job. No 'profit' involved, just my cost and something for my labor, so material cost is critical to my pricing.

Again, thanks for all the positive reviews!

I have just re-posted the purchase page. It pains me to say it, but I did have to jack the price 5%.
All in all I guess that isn't too bad considering it's the first price change since I started these back in 2009, almost 7 years.

I should have kits ready to go out the door next week.

Again, thanks for all your support!

Re-starting production went without a hitch and the first few kits were shipped out to Vision owners last Thursday.

Gary ,
I have a '08 Vision. I have never cared for the looks of the LED taillight as well as the price of the unit even at it's current available price. I have wanted your kit for a long time, but priorities always got in the way. I am very interested in your Kit for the rear lights. Is it still available or am I too late?
Dan

Dan,
You are not too late! They are available through the website. BE SURE to specify "08" in the 'Instruction for Merchant' space when filling out order.
Although many model years have their quirks that had to be addressed in the final configuration, the 08 is a completely different animal that I have to address before shipping.

AS A REMINDER to those that have purchased an 08 kit from me, and may be upgrading or selling your kit, PLEASE contact me first so we can make arrangements to upgrade your kit. Putting an 08 kit on a newer bike can cause damage to the bike.

My modification kits have been on the market long enough now that there is a moderately active re-sale activity.
For that reason I would like to make a couple clarifications.
**Excluding 2008**
All kits purchased for any model year ARE backward compatible.
All kits purchased that include the third relay ARE upward compatible.
All kits purchased WITHOUT the third relay are NOT upward compatible. I will do the upgrade to the harness for $50. + return shipping.
**2008 Only**
All later than 2008 harnesses should come back to me to be reworked to 2008 compatibility. $00. + return shipping.
All 2008 harness moving up to any later year should come back for reconfiguration and upgrade. $50. + return shipping.

In most cases, if I have advanced notice a harness is on the way to me, I can get them shipped back out the day after receipt.

Thanks Guys (and Gals)

Gary, after checking out your website I would definitely want your complete system, both front and rear for my Vision. During the riding season last summer I had more close calls than in my previous 25 years of riding with people nearly rear ending me while slowing down or stopped. I don't know if it's because the lights on my '08 Vision are completely stock or just more distracted drivers, either way I need to get noticed more and other than doing the complete LED replacement your kit is the best thing I have seen yet.

I haven't been around this forum much the past couple of years otherwise I am sure I would have hit you up sooner.

Once done posting this I will give you a call at your contact number from your website.

I just ordered my rear set. I have several projects to do on the bike before riding to DC for Rolling Thunder this year. I'm adding the WD running board turn signal LED's, I've got my next oil change and will have a fresh air filter. May have a Lloydz timing wheel by then too.

I am glad to see this option instead of the LED mods which are expensive and invasive. I will purchase the rear ones as soon as I am financially able. My question is if you use the front kit, can you still use the witch doctor's led floorboard signals?

I can't answer that directly because I don't have knowledge of how they are connected.

My assumption is that there would be no effect.

The WD running board LEDs just tap into the signal wires leading to the socket for the turn lamp.
