Posts: 33 Watauga, TX United States | I have been looking for an over drive pulley for my vision. With speed limits being 70 plus in texas i wanted to get my rpms down under 3k at 80. I have only found one on an old post from 2010 was said to lower rpm by 300 in all gears. It was a 32 tooth front pulley. Thanks |

makes an output pulley for anything passed 07 bikes but I could be wrong...you'll have to check and see! |

The stock gearing on the Vision has the RPMs at only 3000 @ 80 MPH. My bike is very happy there. On our last trip, we cruised across two States with the cruise control locked in at 85 MPH on I80. We were just running with the flow of traffic.
75 MPH = 2800 RPM
80 MPH = 3000 RPM
85 MPH = 3200 RPM
90 MPH = 3400 RPM
100 MPH = 3800 RPM
I don't see the problem. In fact, my bike, with the stock gearing, often gets its best fuel economy running about 75 MPH.

| I'm running a 35 tooth front pulley on my 2011 Vision 8-Ball along with a 68 tooth Sportster rear pulley. There was some slight machining of the rear pulley but nothing radical. I still mess up and start off in second with my wife on the back and it just pulls away. Did 2 trips from CT to CA and back last summer. All in all it's fine for blasting down the freeway. It's hard to find the right gear in the mountains at low speeds sometimes. She gets 50+ MPG and the speedo runs about 4.5% slow. There's no problem hitting the rev limiter in the lower gears. The reason for the rear pulley change was to get away from a 2:1 ratio where the same teeth mesh and cause a wear pattern. Stock belt. I like it! |

| so with the big 4 dyno tuners having all there big motors getting 45 mpg or less so they don't burn the pistons or the valves.
Do you think 50 mpg a lot lean. Bet your spark plugs are white |

Reference back to the part where he talks about his Sprocket sizes.... (50+Mpg) |

Posts: 251 Mechanicsville, VA United States | Johnnyvision, I'll bet he's reading the MPG off the instrument cluster as mine tells me I'm getting up to 54 mpg at times and I know it's not getting that good a mpg as I have done the calculations and it's off by 8 to 10 mpg.

| No, that's calculated off the GPS and gasoline used. It's not on my tag line but I'm running a PCV W autotune and have the cruise set to 13.8 so I highly doubt my plugs are white. I think the side panels help the airflow a little and my windshield is laid back a few degrees more than stock. Mostly I don't hammer it getting on the freeways and cruise at a steady rate. |

| I have found going down the road if you tago to mpg and set it to zero you'll get a truer reading. Same with mph or distance |

ive had a PC5 on my 2008 and then transferred it to my 2011 vision, but when i got my auto tuner.. thats when the bike ran much better !! way better idling ! (adjusted it against the advice not to by P.C.) and my Mpg REALLY improved ! as it was later discovered the power commander map they provided me for my setup was running Rich.. The auto tune feature was one of the very best mod i purchased and installed on my vision to date... it made (for me) a absolute difference in how the bike runs.... |

Posts: 33 Watauga, TX United States | Hey guys thanks for all the responses. sorry for not getting back sooner. work work busy busy bang bang, SOS different day. I had seen the Conquest Customs pulley its for a 100ci. So @ 85 is about 3200 3300 ish rpm ( i don't stare at the gauge when driving that fast.)_ But i can tell you the gas milage is around 30 at that speed. What would really be nice is a taller 6th gear over drive, sans that, ill take the larger pulley. Chuffing along in first gear isn't so bad. HAHAHA sets up the Harley guys for a surprise at the next light :P
Again thank you for the responses. T |
