I have been using Widder gloves in extreme weather for a couple of years, and as the Vision seems to cater to the long distance riders I think these are essential. I currently have a 2002 V92C and they reside in my saddlebags year-round.
What I like about these gloves is that they are useful even if they are not plugged in. They are fairly waterproof by themselves, but I will assume completely waterproof if used with the Glove Shell. I don't have the shells, but will be ordering them. The gloves were a gift.
They are very comfortable, light and warm when not plugged in, and extremely toasty when plugged in.
I use them with the AeroStitch Thermostat. I think this device is essential as you don't have to keep turning the gloves on and off.

You're not supposed to get the thermostat wet, but I have in extreme downpour and it's worked just fine. Also Aerostitch Riders Warehouse has great service. The people seem to know their products and what works with what bike and are very friendly.
