Grand Cane, LA | It's getting pretty bad when all the old posts are coming back because of spammers instead of real info that might be needed by the members. Shouldn't there be some kind of "grace period" like a week where a new member can't post till after a certain length time? Most spammers won't wait that long and will go on to other sites to post their crap. Just a suggestion to the Moderators. |

Fountain Inn, SC United States | Thanks Ernie, yes we've been inundated with spammers lately. We're looking into the feasibility of something like you describe. We just initiated a manual approval for all new members. Myself or Miles has to manually activate their acct. We have certain criteria we look for but it's not 100% foolproof, and being a manual process, it can be a pain for admins and the legitimate new member.

New Bohemia, VA | I can do both, apparently. I'm still top poster with more than double of second place to johnnyvision. And I have over 187,000 miles on my Vision in just less than 8 years of ownership. I'm not saying I do have the most miles, without major work, I just haven't met that person yet that has more than me. |

I have always wondered just how far a motor can go. You hear of big rigs running a million miles or more before a repower. Just always wondering. |

New Bohemia, VA | most of your big rigs need a "bottom" refreshing before an overhaul. My dad has put a least a million miles before major work is done, but he had a few refreshes along the way. I'm just amazed at this baby not leaking or burning any oil. |

Sometimes sensitive people naturally reach out and touch these miles of information.It takes time and practice but it can become a controlled and even fun experience over time. |
