New Bohemia, VA | There are more important things than forum spammers to contend with. If the guy wants to was his time, let him, the jedi will take care of him. if you will notice, the last poster is displayed and when you see a bunch of post all made by the same guy, simply avoid the post. |

I've been on here for 10 minutes so far today and run into 4 spam posts including the one above this post in this thread. They are all dated 9/7 so it looks like the mods are not bothering to clean them out.
That would be an inaccurate assumption.

It's only after their first post (which is might not be on the day they register) that we can manually determine if it's spam. Typically during overnights and weekends, spammers flood the forums with new spam threads and spam posts within legitimate threads. The latter is harder to detect. Your alerts help me to get these bums. Thanks!

It is easier there, because I just look up their FaceBook page - and if I don't see references to biking and memberships in other groups, or if they are part-naked females - I just REFUSE their request to join. I have to do that with about 20% of applicants. Those refused - seldom try again. Because of this - we have not had 'spammers'. I know (because you let ME join) that you don't have that capability  |
