Hey guys New Vision owner here New member here as well. I purchased a limited edition
Kingpin earlier this year, and two weeks ago purchased a new Vision Street Premium black.
Obviously owning two new Vic's I love the product. I have two complaints though and would be interested in hearing any feedback from other members.

1. I have contacted via email Victory directly with technical questions but they N E V E R
respond back. Being in sales, that is just BAD business and poor customer service. Victory
shouldnt offer the ability to contact them with product or technical questions, if they are not going to answer them or respond back.

2. I purchased the IPOD cable which is supposed to charge the IPOD as well as allow it to play through the onboard stereo system. The cable will NOT charge the Ipod. My Victory dealer called them directly and Victory said "we are aware of this and are trying to address it".
Again, poor customer service. If you know something you provide doesnt work as promised,
either remove it from the shelves till you get it fixed or alter the information on the package to show that it doesnt do something that its stated to do.

Anyone else encountered anything similar? Thanks Cpt. Mac

Interesting. The cable as you would already know is just a conduit, so I wouldn't blame it on the cable itself, it has to be the harness or audio software or it could be the iPod. But then again, it may just be a bad cable, but they should swap it out and see what happens. Also, what type of iPod are you using. If it is the very latest generation it may not work properly, but this a guess on my part. If it has a hard drives, that has issues as well. I personnaly use an iPod Touch and it works great, charges and does the playlist from the console.

varyder, you are correct. There is another thread on here that addresses the newest generation iPods. As long as you have an iPod nano or iTouch up to 3rd Generation, you will be ok. Apple changed the pin outs on the newest iPods, so they will not charge on the Victory supplied cable. The other thread goes into more detail.  http://www.vision-riders.com/bb/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=1973&posts=5&highlight=ipod charge&highlightmode=1

Our dealership has replaced two cables I know of due to inferior plugs. The new cables cured all the problems the customer was having. We swapped the cables out under warranty. VaParadox, if you have any other questions, I will be happy to try and assist however possible. You will want to make sure that your radio is operating on the newest software version. I think April of 2008 was the last Radio software update. The biggest item this cures is the iPod locking up after using the mute button.
