I received a mailing from Victory last night, that gives existing Victory owners, a free two year extended warranty on a new 2009 Victory purchase. I picked up my 2009 Anniv Vision last weekend. The dealer told me to on the look out for this offer. Also has a new referral program to reward you for sending a new purchaser to Victory. I am at work and don't have the card in front of me. Just wanted to let everyone know.

Does anyone agree that this seems like a kick in the teeth to all of us 08 Vision owners,I mean when the 08 Visions came out,the big bikes Victory was competing against all had decent warranties.
BMW,Honda & Harley D all offer greater than 1 year warranties.
It would be nice if Victory at least discounted their extended warranty that was offered at the time of our 08 purchase or within 1yr. of owning it.

I don't think they'll ever give the 1st gen owners an incentive to buy the extended warranty. Having a first gen is incentive enough. My guess is that we'll probably all have them by the time our initial warranty expires.

Savannah, GA -Year round riding!! Yay!
That does blow for us '08 owners!! The ones who were willing to take a risk on a first year model, and have had to put up with all of the bugs that go with it. I've owned my bike for  9 1/2 months. It's been in the shop for over 10 weeks total time, due to recalls and warranty repairs. (As I type this, it's been in the shop since yesterday morning for the current recall, diagnose chirping sound which I hope is just adjustment to the belt, and the 3rd attempt at a warranty repair on the clutch....). I have not purchased extended warranties on any of my previous Hondas, because A.) They've worked flawlessly or B.) they came with 3 year warranties to begin with. I have been seriously thinking of getting the extended warranty on this bike, given the performance history of it so far. Not that my hubby, who has a GL1800 and that's what he wanted me to get instead of the Vision, doesn't gloat with every grumble. It sucks to think that you drop this kind of money on a bike, and then have to buy an extended warranty to be able to shoot for as much  of a flaw free ride.... I hope Victory makes this offer to '08 owners, too. I'm getting more and more hesitant to recommend Victory to anyone....

I just got home and the warranty offer is for any new Victory purchase. I assume this will cover any year Victory in stock. This is only good on purchases from 09/20/08 - 11/30/08. The referral reward is a $100.00 gas card for you and the purchaser. My existing bike is a 2002 V92 Deluxe that I still enjoy riding solo. After riding the Vision, the old bike really feels light.

I was told of this offer by my dealer upon purchasing my new Vision. The way it read to me was that anyone who had bought an 07 or earlier Victory and has purchased a new Victory after Sept 20 will be eligible to receive two year extended warranty.

I'd like free or a discount on the two year warranty on my 08! Too bad I already paid for it.

That stinks for 08 owners. I have stuff popping up right and left that needs repaired.

Right rear trunk light is out, HID is out + stress cracks in the plasic, windshield is mis aligned and creeks badly when it is up. Just today, the plastic around the right rear trunk light is popped up, don't know why, wasn't like that yesterday. I still haven't gotten my right bag replaced and the bags adjusted. The first replacement bag was severly damaged in shipping. Oh yeah, and the timer for trips, average speed, and average mpg randomly reset when I start the bike up, never know which it will be. Sometimes the radio plays when I start the bike, and sometimes the IPOD plays, never know which it will be. Bike is still less than a year old, and I've submitted claims for everything except the plastic part around the light.

The economy sucks and sales of everything are down. This is just an incentive to get people to buy a bike.
