I found Captain Itch website catering to Harley. Is there anything even close to that for Victory?

They can be adjusted to bring in lots of cooling air, or adjusted the other way to keep the cold and rain off. They work great both directions.

Don't you worry about overheating that head if you restrict air flow to it?

Haven't checked it with an airflow meter, but it seems to help channel the air towards the rear cylinder. |

Posts: 366 Albuquerque, NM | I've tried both. The sheepskin is cushier but retains some heat and is no good in the rain. The beads cool better but are a little hard to sit on. You get used to it after a few miles. (Rain rolls off it to the seat) I prefer the beads. (I cut a beaded car seat unit from Pep Boys and only used the lower half - $17)

Posts: 416 Prairie City, IA United States | Air cooled or liquid cooled doesn't really matter as far as heat goes. My V Star 1300 and my wife's Kawasaki 900 Classic were just as hot if not hotter than our Victory bikes. I would think a heat deflector would help at a stoplight somewhat but on the open road it shouldn't really affect the engine temperature. |

| Do you know what vendor makes those fans? I searched the net but can't find anything? I practically got 1st degree burns riding in the Florida heat. |

| There is a guy here that went to a computer parts store and bought two fans and mounted them just in front of the brake and shift pedals.
Pointing them up at motor.
He says they work great in stop and go traffic |

| I don't know what to do about a shield. I've also experienced quite a bit of heat while sitting in traffic on a very hot day.
I was on a long ride in Nor Cal Fri and Sat. At one point the temp indicator said 118. I was wearing my LD comfort underwear for the first time and wondered how they would do in the heat. At one point, in very slow traffic, I could feel the heat building but it was never uncomfortable. And for the rest of the time, my legs felt just fine. I wear Olympia mesh gear.
