Why would anyone want stage 1 pipes either level...if they really only add sound..no real performance gains to speak of.........Why not just put a hole saw with extension thru the stock pipes? for alittle more sound.

My "butt dyno" says the S1L1 is more powerful than stock. My bike runs a bit cooler temp wise. I heard second hand that Lloyd says the S1L1 doesn't make any difference in power... Might be marketing for Lloyd, or it may be true.

If you think about it, a free flowing air cleaner (same filter for S1L1 and S1L2) and a free flowing exhaust HAVE to make more power than stock. Simple math, your air pump (all the engine really is) can move more air in and out. All I can say is that I am happy with the performance of my S1L1 (for now!!)

Having the same set up on my bike I'd have to agree. As I found with my Jackpot....changing the air intake and exhaust caused the shifting range of the bike to move up 5-10 mph.

I had my S1-L1 pipes installed last week. I immediately noticed more power and it put an instant grin on my face. The slightly louder sound was "Nice" as told by a GW Driver. But it was the extra punch from the throttle that I upgraded for and it worked! I do get a small backfire pop somtimes if I go into a gear "Before it's time" (mostly from 4th to 5th), but it is not loud or obnoxious.

What's the inlet and outlet inside diameter of the S1L1 pipe? I've got this 1 inch angle cut steel pipe and a three pound hammer........................

fixing my little exhauset problem that caused the popping this bike is quick. I get down on it from stop sign to my driveway and it achieves 10 more mph than before, about an 1/8th of mile. So if the S1L1 is that good an improvement along with sound, I might go with them. What about fuel mileage?

I second this as well. If it didn't change anything....why does the S1/L1 come with remapping?

have # 78 from Rollin Fast Cycles. I just had the Atom Bomb exhaust put on. This was one of our members 1ATOM12 that referred me to a guy he found on ebay the "Muffler Guy". Send out the stock baffles for a overhaul. Cost me $180 with return shipping. I had the dealership put them on while the #78 was in for 500 mile service. Also put on the Lloyds fuel pack with the K&N air filter. Wow does this wake the vision up. A totally different bike. Better throttle response. The exhaust is AWESOME. Way cheaper than the Ness Big Honkers. Now it sounds like a big boy bike. Don't bother with the other stage pipes. These beat them all. You can even keep the gatlin exhaust since it is the stock casing of the baffle. BIG BANG FOR THE BUCK!!!!! Ya just gotta do it !!
