Posts: 79 Louisville, KY | Who has leds on their bike and what to you like or dislike about the led kit you bought?
Any suggestions to what you would do differently?
Pictures would be great.

Posts: 79 Louisville, KY | I guess I should clarify looking to add some leds to the engine area and wheels. |

Posts: 79 Louisville, KY | I'm kind of leaning towards a kit that will light up the motor and wheels and maybe the ground around the bike a little. the kits are around 250 bucks. |

Posts: 167 , OH | you can save a ton of money doing it your self. You can get a roll of water proof led cut to length, peel and stick or zip tie for $20.00

Posts: 196 Asheville, NC | I'm considering a small amount of LED accent lighting. If I do it won't be as extensive as the example above. I intend to put the fourth switch into the console to control them once I decide which color and where to mount them. |

| I got the Opti7 kit off of Amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/3-into-1-Motorcycle-Multi-Color-Accent-Cruise...
Pro's:
- good price
- the kit came with lots of lengths of connectors and y-cables, I even had several left over
- Multi color
- intensity control
- steady on, flash, fade modes
- two remotes in the kit
Cons:
- get yourself additional 3M adhesion promoter. The kit comes with one, but it will dry before you get very thing stuck.

- I would advise also wiping surfaces to be taped with alcohol as an additional step to ensure adhesion.
- (subjective) I added some aluminum angle pieces under the saddle bags to avoid light bleed between the bags and exhaust. Just extra work.

Posts: 196 Asheville, NC | Nice set up Bear13, thanks for the link. Thx for the tips from your experiences. How is the power consumption rate if they're on fade and the bike is off ? Battery killer ?

Bought the same kit for the Wife's Can Am Spyder. Haven't started the install process yet though.
On my Vision, I have the Vic-Litez Cheese Wedges in Red which I love! I have Victory Logo Puddle Lights up front. Just added a TricLED Knight Rider LED Stripe to my trunk as well. I've done the EBay cheap Waterproof LED Stripes all the way around the bottom of my trailer. Installed the 4710 Mod to turn my trunk lights into Brake/Signal Lights.
Guess it's time I get started on the Can Am. |

Posts: 115 Katy, TX United States | I bought my LED kit from www.joeflorida.com. Very happy with the setup. I would do a few things different, but still love the way it looks.
TEXAS ALLERT: Texas passed a new law that went into effect 1/1/2016. Any accent lights on the bike have to be white or yellow when ridding on the road. I have multi-colored lights with many options. I have run other colors since 1/1/16 and have not gotten pulled over yet. But now you have been informed.
