Reedley, CA | Installed Lloyds air Filter on my 2008 Victory Vision, I totally love it the question is what do I do with the factory air filter. do I leave it in place or remove it |

Jasper, MO | If you are saying that you added Lloydz top filter, just leave the stock factory front filter in place. It will still need to be serviced at regular intervals too. The bike breathes through both of them at the same time.

| Ok...so now I'm confused. Why keep the stock filter if the Lloyds filter is supposed to help the bike breathe easier...or better? I'd like to find a reusable filter to replace the stock filter but one of the reasons I picked the Vision over the CC was the relative ease of getting the filter off the thing. Then again I'm not much of a mechanic but I DO try to do all the work I can myself. |

Do not be confused. Just understand....
The Lloydz top air filter is to provide more airflow; to be used in conjunction with enhanced A/F mixture via a fuel controller for more power and performance.
The stock air filter is already in place; though the engine's dependency on it is now partially negated by the Lloydz top air filter. The stock air filter will still provide air; but is now complimented by the additional Lloydz top air filter.
Think of your engine not breathing through it's nose; but now breathing through both it's nose and mouth as well. More intake area. |

North Billerica, MA | You can swap out your OE front filter for a Ness front filter. It looks and acts like a K&N filter. Once every year or two, remove it, clean it, and reinstall.
It will last the life of the bike. |

| Ah ok...I get the nose/mouth breathing analogy because, judging by that evil taste in my mouth every morning, I do the same thing. |

| if you ride in dusty dirty air or dirt roads use the stock air filter. It will keep more dirt out of the motor then the k&n nock off |

Agreed. With the addition of the Lloydz top filter, my stock paper front filter doesn't appear to need replacing until about 30,000 miles. I do live and ride on dirt roads.
