| Hey all,
I am picking up a new white 2014 Vision this afternoon, and looking forward to the bonding. I have a 02 HD Road King that I put 108k miles on and plan on doing the same with my vision.
I am in Denton, TX and roadname is Ziggy, look forward to the conversations and education. |

Posts: 161 Albuquerque NM | Hey Ziggy! you're going to love owning your vision. If I can make a suggestion for a first mod get the lower deflectors! I don't think I've ever heard of anyone regretting that decision, and if you ever get a little warm there in Denton you're going to want them. |

| the first thing would be read how to check the oil. Bike will sit good on a 2x4
after your 500 mile check up you can change your oil in about 20 min time |

Perfect bike for you with all those miles. You will love it.
My tip is to keep the passenger floor boards down so that you don't catch your foot under the rear tip-overs when launching. At least until you get used to it.
Ride on! |

I second the suggestion that one of the first things you should add to the Vision is the lower wind deflectors. They aren't particularly attractive, nor inexpensive, but they work wonders to keep the heat off you when turned partially in, and the cold and rain off you when turned out.
If the day comes that you want to increase the Vision's stock rear wheel power from 85 HP to 110 or 120 HP, be advised that it is easy and pretty cheap to do using bolt on parts. The power is already hiding there in the design. Just adding Lloydz cams, a top intake, and a fuel controller will get you 110 HP easily, and gives you 1800 Goldwing beating performance.
