I'm new to the site so forgive me if this has been discussed. I just took my first trip on my new Vision through the hills of Arkansas and love it except for the whine in gears 1-4. It seems excessive particularly under load and much more than my 07 Kingpin. Mine is the only Vision I have ever rode. Is this normal?

Each gear except for 5th has a little tranny noise. It will get better with more miles, but don't expect it to be completely gone as he miles rack up. There are a couple other posts here that you can read about comments on tranny noise. My Vision is much quiter than the 04 Kingpin I had. With the big fairing in front of you, you will hear more than you did on the Kingpin. You can also try different oils later that may help quite the noise. Also congrats on your new Vision, and you have some fantastic roads in Arkansas to ride. Enjoy the bike.

Sorry, I saw you reposted this, but I have to chime in here. Transition whine is that noise a rider makes coming off the Vision onto anyother bike.
