From what I gathered you will still be able to lock the wheel. I just won't grab a high spot on the rotor and lock. So if you have new rotors does it do anything?

In my opinion, if you're looking to get ABS-like brakes it would be a waste of $80. An ABS system utilizes a computer to sense when the wheels lock up and ease up the brake pressure in order to let the wheel turn, thus keeping the tire traction so you can stop. An ABS system pulses this brake pressure hundreds and even thousands of times in a second to keep this balance. A shock absorbing banjo fitting just ain't going to cut the mustard.

Doesn't floating rotors, like that on the Vision, eliminate the high low spot problem in braking because they float.

Ok...found a review on this little doo-dad

Basically the review tashes the system.

So maybe it isn't a good option for us to use.

Put your money towards an Experienced Rider Course such as that offered by ABATE. Money better spent, then you won't ever need to worry about whether or not you NEED ABS or not. Here's a link....

http://www.abateonline.org/ABATE.aspx?PID=266

Click on the "Locate a class near you" just under the title of the page. You will NOT regret the time nor money spent. Every time I take it, it saves my butt shortly after completing the course. I've probably ridden over 200K miles over the years, through driving rain, sometimes even snow, and have not experienced an accident in all those years and miles. Knowledge and experience trumps technology any day in my book!
