Posts: 341 West Salem, WI United States | I have a squeak coming from the front of the bike, usually just when the bike is cold in the morning and in the low rpm range. I remember a post a while back about something like this, but I can not find it and don't remember where the OP found the squeak. Nothing from site searches on all the Vision sites or from google... |

Also, the belt is very elusive in its sound emanating area. If you can jack it up, see if you can spot it. If nothing else, get someone on their morning jog to run alongside. |

| belt find a wall to ride next to you'll hear the sound better.
Did you just get a rear tire. Sounds like bad alignment |

Posts: 341 West Salem, WI United States | Bike has 6800 miles on it, and no new tires. I ordered the belt tension tool to check that. It's cold here again in WI this week, so one of these evenings I'll jack it up and check the belt tension and alignment. It really sounds like its coming from the lower chin area, I thought I remembered someone who found something with a bolt rubbing the lower chin sheet metal. When I get it jacked up, I'll try and get my fat head in that area and see what I can see... |

Austin, IN United States | The best way is to remove front wheel. Then with your finger rotate the inter race of the bearing around, any roughest or binding = bad bearing |

Also, to check the two fairing legs come together, along with the belly pan just under the battery, or check your front fender, or stand on it and wiggle it just a little bit or party likes it 1999 and see if you can get it to squeak while not underway. |
