| Here, again, are the pics of the Vic in TX I put a hundred down on yesterday. I got the VIN number, and sure enough, it's for a 2008 Vision Street. I know Visions came in black in '08, But THIS looks like an 8 Ball, which was only made in 2010 and 2011, according to what I can find, as well as a dealer up here in the Northwest. Anybody got any input on this? If the Vin has been monkeyed with, obviously it's not something I want to deal with shipping 1,500 miles, etc...The motorcycle carfax website I got on said the title was clean, then went on to explain the myriad of ways titles can be washed. I've never bought anything sight unseen like this before, so any input would sure be appreciated. Thanks, Russ

Posts: 3773 Pittsburgh, PA | Yeah there was no 8 ball vision in 08. Are you sure the picture match what your actually getting ? I see there is no radio etc.... so something Is not right.. I mean if in 08 there was no 8 ball vision. and on their site they don't even list this as for a 8 ball.. so make me wonder if the person in charge of their site has the wrong photos posted for this description

That means you could take an 8-ball and make it a street or a premium tour. Not that anyone has done that (but they have). Bottom line, it's a Vision. I'm sure there are some salvage parts that you could get to make it anything you want it to be... |

Posts: 482 Beer Collins, Colorado (there is no fort) | The photos are of an 8-Ball Vision, certainly not a 2008 Comfort Tour as described. Most likely a photo screw up or possibly an intentional bait & switch? It's not very probably that someone changed the wheels, painted all the trim, engine cases, valve covers, & removed the radio, radio controls & cruise controls, etc from a 2008 to make what is shown. Some serious discussion with this dealer is in order. |

| The VINs were switched inadvertently by the lot boy. The new VIN I got showed a 2010 8 Ball. I did another title search and it only showed one event-when it was purchased in 2011 in Colorado. The local dealer database showed it had a brake line leak fixed in June of '11. Also, they're keeping the price to $10.499.00, which with shipping, comes to $11,347.00 delivered to my door, with a new battery, new tires and oil change and a 24 point inspection. Not terrible...What can happen, right? |

| Thanks! I'm pretty jazzed! From what I've read, you could option the 8 Ball up, so it's not impossible to have rear floorboards and tipover protectors. This one looks like it has an electric windshield, too, which wasn't stock. The sales guy also said there was an amp in the trunk (!), for what, I don't know, since theres no radio. The radio wasn't available even as an option, from what I've read, I'm not sure if cruise was or not. It's interesting to note that the bottoms of the rear floorboards are blacked out like the rest of the bike, though.
According to the literature, Victory cammed up the 8 Ball motors so the HP goes from 92 to 97, and Torque from 108 to 113. Any followup on this? I always thought the 106 was always the same across the board, no matter what. I won't complain if it's true though...

| I sent'em a check...should be up here by the end of next week or thereabouts.
The wife and I have Gerbing heated coats and gloves, so the lack of heated grips and seats won't be a big issue, though I may invest in the grips. Heated grips are just too...well, handy. The knockout for the rocker switch is on the far left of the dash, so it shouldn't be too hard.
Anyone know what the knockout on the far right of the dash is there for? My previous '08 Street Premium didn't have anything in that spot either. I always wondered.
Also, any ideas why the 8 Ball was only built for '10 and '11? I don't think there's a Street made now, either. Did they make some changes in the trunks so they're easier to remove or something? I have some catching up to do, I see.
Anybody on here making passenger backrests and luggage racks anymore? That are easily removable? I've been gone for two years and am out of date. At least that's what the kids say...

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | You're getting a great deal. I know a guy who put a radio on his 8-ball with an amp. Sounds like they did the same but pulled the radio. It was all in the bag with controls on the bars. While it may not have come with topovers, it's an easy addition. I didn't recall Victory beefing the motor, so that's good to know.

| You can see in photo there is no switches for radio or cruise. Dough there is a electric wind shield that a $ 300 up grade and a stock radio will coast you more then a $1000
That is not the stock front wheel I think its off 2010 |

| Optional accessory switch...Maybe I'll hook up the coffeemaker to it. Witchdoctor made backrests for it, had a 14 minute vid on how to install one, so easy even I could do it. Vid seems to be from 2011 though, so I'll have to wait 'till Monday to see if they still got'em, or if Witchdoctor even still exists. Like Abraham Lincoln said, "The problem with the internet is it's so hard to tell what's true or not."
And I wonder...There's a slot in the seat. Do you think the sales guy looked in the saddlebag and saw the backside of a drivers backrest and mistook it for an amplifier? With a quick glance, it might not be impossible. Maybe if he's working the weekend I can get him to shoot me a pic pf it.
Maybe I'm obsessing...I feel like a kid the week before Christmas.

| Rollin',
I was farting around on here last night and saw a pic on another thread that I assume was your bike, an 8 Ball, with a car tire on the rear. I thought it looked awesome, but couldn't tell if the front had a bike tire or not. Is it okay to mix and match, or do you run a darkside on the front, too? This question should get the goat of most everybody, but it was the first pic of it's type I actually ever saw. Do the shoulders affect handling, or do they "wear round" right away, similar to a bike tire "wearing flat" when you live on the slab, as I'm going to be spending most of my time? Thanks in advance for your insight.

| The photos on the link in the top post are of a different bike now, they took the 8 Ball pics down after I bought it. Still got a week or so to wait for it to arrive, and it's sunny and 60 out, and no Vic to ride... Timing is everything I guess |
