Posts: 725 Reno County, KS | Despite humility, I thought Id post this as a possible warning: Be careful when cleaning the bugs off those windshields. I was in a hurry to throw on my rain jacket when I decided to spray down and clean off the windshield. I had the sheild down (which is how I've been riding 90+% of the last 1700 mi) and was in a hurry. I reached down under the front trim panel (becuase the windshield was down) and sliced a hunk of skin COMPLETELY OFF my forefinger knuckle. It s sharp! I felt a small sting and then noticed I was bleeding badly. Had to make a stop into a quickstore for bandaids because I was bleeding all over the grips. When I get back home, I plan on taking some emery cloth to the bottom edge of that trim piece. Anyway, just thought I'd warn ya'll. |

| Sounds like a 64 1/2 Mustang. ) When they first came out they had a sharp edge on the hood and people got cut. Ford had a recall. I only know 1 guy that has the original hood. |

+1 Happened to me Months ago just doing a non hurried cleaning.
But, I think is is good of bigwill5150 to make a post regarding this so others don't learn the hard way. I didn't post about it.

Posts: 2027 Brighton, TN | nope no thread and rusty needle, just axle grease and hand cleaner, adds a little excitement to it after the fact. I thank you for clarifying about the Bandaid, so do you put like a thousand bandaids on your Vision. |

Posts: 17 Decatur, GA | For the all the years I have turned a wrench my problem has always been, I find myself bleeding and have not a clue where it is coming from. I have to stop and find out to make sure I did not do something serious. You only notice this when you see blood on the work you are doing, your tools or both. |

Posts: 1632 Jasper, MO | I took to carrying a couple of Bandaids in my wallet years ago. Helps to keep the blood off my bike. I can't seem to get near anything mechanical anymore without losing a little hide and causing leaks in my skin. Thanks for the heads up on the sharp edge.
