| Could be conection or regulator. Does your battery warning light come on. What does your volts meter read?

| have you tightened your battery cables. Add 1/4" lock washers to each one
wish you would tell us more |

Posts: 3 1053 grange rd smithville, arkansas 72466 | yes I have added lock washers,i had battery tested,it started out after sitting two weeks it would not start. I charged battery and cleaned battery cables and wire brushed battery posts. started it up and it would act like it was suppose to then it would drop voltage at idle and if I rev up to 4000 rpm it would peg gauge but battery would not stay charged up. I noticed last night working on it that the grommet for stator wires has melted or something oil was leaking around it,can the grommet be replaced without replacing stator?i haven't check regulator yet it is next but it will have to wait flying out to Colorado tomorrow back to work.yes battery light and engine light would come on at times but not stay on.my bike is a 2009 vision street premium with 17,000 miles on it

| you had battery tested what was the result
you could have a bad connection at regulator. there is away to test the regulator. With bike running what does the volt gauge say for amps and at idle |

| I had to replace my stator with similar symptoms.... several of the coils had cooked, causing an over charge condition... be careful not to let that happen or you will fry other circuits. When I rode it to the dealer, I had to keep the high beam on, heated seats and grips on high, and keep the RPM's around 2k, just to keep it from pegging out and zapping anything. New stator fixed it right up. |

Any more info on your stator? Do you have a theory on why it cooked? Just one of those things??
Do you think any modding you did contributed to it?

No significant modding on my bike really, nothing that would tax the electrical system at least. Just one of those things. |
