Orlando, FL | Took me a while to find the source of a very small oil leak on my Vision. Finally discovered it is coming from the right fork and I'm guessing it's a blown fork seal. The leak accumulates and runs down the side of the fork, then runs the edge of the front fender finally dripping off the bottom of the fender.
Wondering........is it ok to ride a short distance to the dealer to get fixed?
Just had fork oil changed June 2013. Any possible connection?
Cost to get it fixed?
Any thoughts are welcome. |

Prairie City, IA United States | Interesting you and I have had the same experience. I changed the oil at the dealer and then had to have 2 new fork seals installed after a few thousand miles. I think it ran around $300 to get them replaced. Next time I change oil, I will have the seals done at the same time.
Riding it to the dealer shouldn't be a problem. I think I rode 500 miles after I noticed the oil leaks. |

if you have a jack and can get the front end off the ground you could pull the fork and bring it to dealer.
It would save you some money. It might take you a little over a hour to pull the fork and wheel.

Orlando, FL | Thanks guys. I ordered the Seal Mate and will let you know how it works with the Vision. Got my fingers crossed! Reviews of it on Amazon were amazingly positive with only 2 naysayers. (Price on Amazon was more than the Seal Mate Site) I'll let you know my 2 cents when I get it. |

Who the hell has a piece of old 35MM camera film laying around? I haven't used that kind of camera in this century.  LOL |

Who the hell has a piece of old 35MM camera film laying around? I haven't used that kind of camera in this century. LOL
How many do you need? I probably have a dozen rolls left over from before I got a digital camera. I still used film for awhile after getting my first couple of digital cameras. Film still produced better quality pictures. Digital has come a long way in the past few years, but it hasn't been all that long ago that film was the way to go for quality prints. No longer true.
