Yep, that's 1 for every mile (more or less). I need to clean the Vis but don't want to damage the oh-so-fragile clearcoat or the plastics (body & windshield/headlight cover).
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I'm looking at about a 1/2 day's work here & want to do it right. |

Posts: 106 Illinois | What I usually do is soak a large towel in warm to hot water and lay it over the bug splatters. That softens them up and makes removal easier. If you just try and wash to remove you will surely scratch the surfaces. Another option is a product called Poor Boys Bug Squash, dab some on and let it sit for a few minutes to soften and remove. If you then follow up with a good quality sealant, bugs, tar, etc. come off relatively easy. I know lots of people hear use Liquid Glass I have never been a fan. I personally use Chemical Guys Jet Seal. Chemical Guys also sells a bug remover that works well. Good Luck.

(Yep, I use the wet towel and Lemon Pledge trick, too....) |

Posts: 235 Evergreen, CO | After my long trip this summer, without "love bugs", the Vision was pretty well crusted in the front with various types of formerly flying critters. A quick trip to the U Spray It car wash solved all that real fast....no soaking, chanting, buffing necessary. Keep a decent coat of wax on things, and those little buggers slide right off! |
