Has anyone had problems with the heated seats? I just rode out to the Cheasapeak Bay and noticed that it did not work all of the time. I'm assuming there has to be something wrong with the seat but wanted to check in and see if anyone else has had this problem.

Had to turn mine on this morning on the way to work. Works fine. I believe there was a post a few months ago about this and the concensis was that the heater would to on and off so as not to overheat.

The seats cycle to a peak temp on high or low setting.

Mine was an on off 50% of the time all last cold season when I used it. Others
reported the same, so I figure it to be normal. I believe this only to be on High
from what I recall.

The on-off cycle is normal.

However, I had a problem with the seats randomly coming on, (with the switch in the off position), and the switches being reversed. (Back switch for front, front switch for back.)

Dealer confirmed the issue, and within a week I had new seats on the bike. Haven't had a problem since.

Thanks. My wife the other day turned hers on again, came on (was on high) then went back off. When we first picked up the bike we had to try everything so she tried the seat and it was warm. Now it don't seem to be the same. Unless we are just used to the feel know...... It is like once you start and turn them on they work great but then it never feels as if they come back on.....

I wondering if the heated seats are merely cyclic or is there a temp sensor that says off when it hits a certain temp? If your dairiare don't feel fair and warm with the switch on, then it needs to be checked out. I know that mine has to be set to low, even on the cold days as the high cooks on mine. My wife wants hers on high and is very happy with that setting. I'm glad it has dual switches.

One of my switches is installed opposite of the other. High for passenger is in the other dirrection than mine.
