Well - We survived the Hurricane and at my house in Sugar Land never lost power. It is almost embarassing to tell people that.

There are tons of folks down here who are hurting greatly. Remember them in your thoughts and prayers.

How did our "South of Houston" folks fare?

I have a cousin in Sugarland who fared worse than you did. Lost some trees around the house, still no power--running refrigerator, fans and TV (imagine that) on generators. Doesn't know when they will have power restored. Another cousin in Humble without power but everything else is pretty good--no cell phones, but the land lines are OK. One more south of Houston lost shingles from the house, couple of trees, no phones or power, but we have heard that they are OK, just waiting things out.
Thoughts and prayers for any and all involved.

My Wisconsin prayers and thoughts are with you all. We always feel the post storm wind and rain from Gulf hurricanes up here. I can even smell the ocean.
